I've used something a little different, which doesn't always work out well. All D20 stats were paired to make a pnp stat. I would Multiply them together and divide by 10 (although a smaller divisor might fit better in some cases). The stats were paired as follows:
PnP D20
S Str * Str* Size Factor
St Str * Con*Size Factor
D Dex * Dex
A Dex * (MR/2.5)/((Size factor+1)/2)
I Int * Int
W Wis * Int
E Int * Cha
Em Wis * Cha
C Con*Con * Size Factor
Ap No conversion available.
Size factor is a little obscure. For each +1 AC from SMALL size, the factor is x 1/2 (from a base of 1). For every AC-1 from size, the Factor has +.5 added. Some medium creatures are bigger than others (a Bugbear should have a 1.25, a hobgoblin a 1.125), and the factor should be adjusted for them. This works well for converting MOST creatures, however, some things do not convert, or do not convert well. We converted about 60% of Undermountain to PnP through this, and it worked well for what it is.
