Well I like the balance this puts into the spell.  I may invoke it into my game soon or after this current adventure and grandfather the current enhnacements in.  But for those who seek to learn more rites without a book or friend.  How did you guys come up with a cost say for a Knowledge spell or such?  That's where I'm trying to figure out some value to the "rite".  Then will consider how to tweak it a bit and invoke it later on.

Burton - Yeah I want to do the EL for this a bit as well.  As you improve EL maybe the rites are 1d6+EL so you start out with d6 and then as you learn more....no maybe not.  The "info" wouldn't just come to you by osmosis.  So will have to tweak it.  But yeah, like the EL to be some factor in it.
