<P><FONT SIZE=2>I think that Either Harn or RuneQuest had their stones sized in carats, and priced based off that.  I'm 75% sure it was Harn that had a list of gem values by type, which was multiplied by carat size squared (i.e. a 10 carat gem was worth 100 times that of a 1 carat one of the same type, assuming clarity and brilliance were the same).</FONT></P>
