That would be awesome. Weird to think when game came out no pc by large
at home. No real 'net per se. Now we depend on both. If
only Richard was 30 years later doing it. Would be nice but
difficult. Doing a format that everyone can use from mac to
pcs. If only that old Mapcad program can be tweaked.<br><br>

<blockquote type=cite class=cite cite="">One of my goals/desires has been
to redo the map book in some form that would allow for maps of any area,
with consistent color and matched rivers/roads. Doing it on my poor
mac in Canvas is a pain. Plus, I would like the ability to
"zoom in" on hexes, with some sort of determanistic fractal
ability to produce maps at the hex-per page (20 miles) or greater scale,
for detailing cities or adventure spots.<br><br>

bitch. It's bad enough getting the scanned pages to line up, besides
having roads or rivers not matching.<br><br>

<blockquote type=cite class=cite cite="">Cool. I have been thinking
about redoing mine. Mainly I want to try and color correct.
That is make all the water be the same shade of blue, the lands the same
shade, etc. I have two great resources at my disposal. My
son-in-law is a graphic artist so he could help with the color matching
and I work for a company that can print out the entire map.<br><br>
Thanks for doing that and sharing it. I definitely know how much
work it took!<br><br>
Thanks!<br>

I got the idea from your original, I mostly just went with a higher
resolution on the scan and a tweaking of the size so that the hexes were
one-quarter inch.<br><br>

A while back i took the time to scan the map book at high-res, using
photoshop to correctly align the pages and scaling up the hexes to be
1/4th on an inch. Some other photoshop to join it all into a
canvas, the end result is a 43x35 inch image at 300ppi. I took this
file to my local office depot and had them print and laminate it.
You see it pinned to the wall prior to a game today. There
are a few glitches in the alignment, mostly on the wastern side, and edge
hexes are kind of funky in places since roads or rivers don't always
light<br><br>
This file is about 40MB in size. If people here would like a copy,
to do their own, if Wout has room on the site we can see if I can get it
to him.<br><br>
