After Z'leyra's information spell fails, Strie'bog will
look<br>
to the gathered people. "I can do a few things tonight,
but<br>
it will weaken me. First, I can asks the Lords of Life
to<br>
strengthen the Will of any who have been influenced by
these<br>
bugs. The Lords of Life may also grant me understanding<br>
about these bugs. The prayers can also be used to aid<br>
those going into battle, and for the battle I will
maintain<br>
enough strength to sing songs that will calm animals in
hopes<br>
that it will override the influence of the Claw. These<br>
actions will be the greatest contribution I can provide.<br>
Once joined, I will aid in whatever way I can."<br>

Strie'bog will cast Wisdom (as he does not need to purify
the<br>
area first. He will explain that he will enter a trance,<br>
and that it could take a while. The focus of the Wisdom<br>
spell is the bugs.<br>

If needed, he will bless those who have been infected by
the<br>
bug (EL 2 bless applied to Will). Depending upon the
tactics<br>
selected, he will bless others. He will hold enough mana
in<br>
reserve to cast Sonata (Peace) EL 2 (for casting, cost,
it<br>
is EL 1) and Sonic Trumpet (EL1 - for casting cost it is EL
0)<br>
GM: Ack. Z'leyra's spell did work. That was the info
given<br>
about water and such on the bugs. Did you see that
section?<br>
But this brings up a good point I'll reply below. So the<br>
wisdom isn't needed unless you want to learn something
else?<br>

Ben'Dar nods and says, "Yes, the positioning sounds

Where will the Deceiver be?" he jerks a thumb in
Cetric's<br>
direction. He adds, "I agree with you Farseeker. I
would<br>
just as soon see Cetric stay behind. He has proven
himself<br>
untrustworthy at best. But it is not my decision to
make...<br>
If he and Praelux are to join the battle, I would suggest<br>
they join the others in the South. Our enemy likely
expects<br>
any pursuit to come from the North, so our greatest<br>
concentration of warriors should come from the opposite<br>
direction."<br>

Ben'Dar adds to the plan, "We should move after the
midnight<br>
gaurds have been changed. It will take some time to get
into<br>
position and to coordinate our movements. Probably Thig
will<br>
have to fly from one position to another to coordinate so
that<br>
we do not start the stampede too early. Our attack can
occur<br>
anytime after that, in the sleep-filled hours of the
early<br>
morning."<br>

Chion ponders this situation a little and suggests the
following,<br>
"I am not inclined to killing these folks who may be under
the<br>
influence of bugs or even a mage's claw. I am intending
to<br>
save as many as I may and am going to attempt to knock
out<br>
anyone I meet. I have a plan for removing the bugs... "
waits<br>
a second or two, "... if I can find a rock large enough. I
have<br>
to wonder what we should do with the one who wears the claw
as<br>
well. Gaining the information from him regarding who sent
him<br>
to retrieve it could be more valuable than anything else
we<br>
accomplish."<br>

Elsewhere: Chion smiles in the invisible darkness as he
listens<br>
to the L'P'Nth Female plot to destroy him.<br>

"Oh, you want to get to know me do you now lady?" he
thinks<br>
to himself. "Then why didn't you come as I asked,

[Meanwhile somewhere on the plains]<br>
[Day 51 of Trip] [3 Miles near the Enemy Village]<br>
Time: Roughly 10:40pm<br>

[Z'leyra patches up Caladan with a bandage and ensures the<br>
wound is clean and stopped bleeding before Caladan goes<br>
off and talks quietly with Praelux.]<br>

Farseeker [to Z'leyra] "You can position yourself near
the<br>
north end of the corral if you want. But I think Thig<br>
and Ben'dar should be sufficient. If horses see
something<br>
flying over them they'll get skittish. Especially as
large<br>
as Thig. Plus you yelling will reveal your location in<br>
case you need to keep quiet for the first of the
attack."<br>
<br>
Thig [to Z'leyra] "I will try. But I'm not going to
stay<br>
low to the ground and become a target. I'll try to<br>
go invisible but it will take some time to get all<br>
what I want to do done first. Plus my range on that<br>
detection is weak. We shall see. I suspect though<br>
things like this will become obvious. The Zen'da<br>
dress one way while ...ahh...shamans and wizards tend<br>
to dress another."<br>

[After Strie'bog speaks.]<br>

Thig: "That brings up a good point. Z'leyra did your<br>
spell detect if the control lasts while the bug is in
place<br>
or if the poison or whatever takes affect even
afterwards.<br>
If afterwards we can't risk taking them 2 with us."<br>

Caladan: "Good question. But if we lose two now we
are<br>
greatly outnumbered.<br>
<br>
Caladan: "May need to bless Praelux Strie'bog if
Z'leyra<br>
answers it lasts for days. Cetric is strong willed<br>
enough I doubt he needs it."<br>
<br>
[Ben'dar speaks.]<br>
<br>
Farseeker: "Oh right. I forgot Praelux and Cetric.<br>
Frankly for that reason I rather not place them both<br>
on a team. If things go wrong they'll be a force of<br>
two rather than one. So we'll split them up. Cetric<br>
can join the party on the south. Praelux on the North.<br>
I have a feeling Cetric will be needed on the south to<br>
hold against the though enemy. I suspect the enemy<br>
is found on the south side of the camp based on the<br>
tipi layout."<br>

Kasha: "That gives six in the north, five in the south
and<br>
four in the east. But with the corral in the east it<br>
blocks alot of room for escape."<br>
<br>
Balrog: "It is three miles away. So it will take us
walking<br>
just about an hour to get there. So whatever time we<br>
decide we'll need an hour to get there."<br>
<br>
Kasha: "Hour?!"<br>
<br>
Balrog: "We are walking slow through the darkness and
its<br>
three miles. I'm giving typical half speed
movements."<br>
<br>
Farseeker: "What time is it?"<br>
<br>
Thig: "Roughly based on the sky and my good timing
instinct<br>
its near 11 pm."<br>

[Chion speaks...]<br>

Farseeker: "I'm a warrior. I am trained to kill. We
are<br>
outnumbered greatly. If we take the time to knock out<br>
folks it will weaken our skills. Not everyone is as<br>
skilled in that art as Unali. We can try but it takes<br>
more time to subdue rather than kill. If we decide to<br>
do that it should be a personal decision. But If I'm in<br>
the middle of 8 guys trying to kill me I'm killing
them."<br>

Thig: "Plan to rid the bugs? What plan? I was
thinking<br>
a good storm of rain could do it. Wash away the bugs.<br>
But there is risk in that. If the villagers taken<br>
are quiet and subdued already if we release them from the<br>
bugs they could go wild in panic and could endanger<br>
themselves. It might be safer for them to stay as they<br>
are."<br>
<br>
Caladan: "Chion has a point though. If the warriors
we<br>
fight are bugged they are not themselves. Do they<br>
deserve death?"<br>
<br>
Cetric: "Did you people see what they did to the
villages?<br>
Killed many of Praelux's village and took hostages or<br>
slaves from the other! Zen'da right of -"<br>
<br>
Praelux: "Cetric is right they deserve the same they
did<br>
to the females...the
kids...my..family...my...friends..."<br>

Farseeker: "Well we need to iron out more details. If<br>
you have them change into black clothing. Kasha that<br>
tunic won't do. Even I can see a bit of it in this total<br>
darkness. The yellow shows up."<br>

Kasha: "Yes I'll change."<br>

[Unali has already changed into her total black clothing and<br>
is very hard to detect even standing next to her. Soon<br>
Balrog is the same as if he has done this before.]<br>

So far no one will take horses but I wanted to double check<br>

from 12-3am. Some are still up earlier than later.<br>
Maybe by next friday we can start the battle? We shall see.<br>

As to kill or to subdue. That will likely need to be decided<br>
in battle not now. I will ASSUME you will kill unless you<br>
say otherwise during battle. I know Chion and Unali are<br>
the only ones that have declared their subdue tactic now. So<br>
for those 2 will go with that rather than kill.<br>
