If Ben'Dar hears the details of this battle, he will revise his thinking about Fremea. He finds this just...disturbing:

"The wounded Dirasa stops moving and suddenly falls flat on its
back, leaving only one Dirasa left. Smiling Fremea enters the
hole and uses a small lasso she setup earlier with her cord to
capture the tiny creature around the mid section holding its
wings tight against its back and only allowing one claw to
flail. She yells down she is okay and will explore the nest.
She drags the lassoed creature closer and carves off his wings
and then the small ends of his hands that serve for claws.
Smiling she says a few words the creature can't understand but
sounds like a taunt and grabs the thin neck. She squeezes
tighter and tighter and sees the creature flail for breath.
She releases her grip and lets him get some air then tightens
again doing this game for two more tries. Finally tired of it
she twists the neck and kills the creature. The one on its
back doesn't seem to be moving but she notices it is still
alive. Down below Arawn finishes off the creature with one
quick thrust of his sword. Not even a big threat.]

[Arawn glances up but only sees the rear of Fremea out the
hole still moving about alive and taking a bit too long.
Inside the large tree, Fremea examines the wounded Dirasa and
notices his eyes are glaring. She wonders if Nebeth or Kototh
could be seeing her now through those eyes. She vows not to
let their evil live longer than they deserve. To prove her
point she slices the creature's throat and kills the creature."
