GM: This is a bonus. I forgot I typed this up already. So
consider this a Director's Cut or Alternate Scene of KEll's
Challenge. When did update today I forgot i made this..so might as
well show it the other way..:)<br><br>
Kell watches as
his body is carried by the strange<br>
being known as Raki. It
seem so weird to watch his<br>
body like that. But this
spirit form does have its<br>
advantages. Sneaking
into good rooms hearing the great<br>
trade deals. Scaring
bratty kids. Even sneaking into<br>
the girl's bath houses and
staring!<br><br>
But he is
torn. He can see how his friend Kiet is<br>
being ripped apart. He
wishes he could survive and<br>
live another day. It
seems so useless and a waste of<br>
time.<br><br>
Kell flies in
spirit form through Z'layhs and sneaks<br>
a peek under her tight
tunic. But as Kell ends up on<br>
the landing things
change. The dark dank stairs seem to<br>
form into a wide and bright
open structure. It seems to<br>
be a house of some
sort.<br><br>
Kell sees a table
with a person back to him. A fire is<br>
roaring and the shadows dance
on the room. "Are you<br>
happy?" The voice
asks.<br><br>
"What?"
Kell asks.<br><br>
The man turns
around to reveal Arawn in a plush chair.<br>
"Are you happy? As
you are now?"<br><br>
"Dead?
Course not. What fool question is that." Kell<br>
stares at Arawn who stares
back unblinking. After a long<br>
time Kell continues,
"sure...I had a decent life. I helped<br>
others and saved places and
things. I had some good trades<br>
and some good friends.
Sure I'll miss that. But will I<br>
miss the grind the hard riding
for days on end to just<br>
find saddle sores?
Probably not."<br><br>
"You know
what will happen to you correct?" Arawn asks.<br><br>
Kell nods, "I
suspect. The others seem to be unaware."<br><br>
"You could
tell them. Raki seems to understand you."<br><br>
"Yes.
Well it means a final end."<br><br>
"Do you want
that?""<br><br>
"I had hoped
to learn more on this ebony stuff. But<br>
if this is my fate...then so
be it."<br><br>
"But you are
not a religious man like myself?"<br><br>
"No.
But after seeing you and the others...I can see<br>
there is more to this
thing." He waves a hand. "We do<br>
not see or
control."<br><br>
"Well said.
What if I were to say there is still a chance?"<br><br>
"How?"<br><br>
Arawn opens his
hands a large crystal ball like<br>
object forms. It shows
Kiet in a room juggling<br>
things. "He could
decide."<br><br>
"But that's
unfair to him! He would save me in<br>
a heart beat."<br><br>
Arawn stands and
looks around. "Yes he would.<br>
But he also has other
issues."<br><br>
"I see.
And me?"<br><br>
"We shall
see...."<br><br>
