Cholan's Tavern]<br><br>
The
quiet hunter sits in the back room of this tavern still<br>
amazed by the past
events. To leave his home tribal lands and<br>
then travel to
this strange land has been an adventure in<br>
itself. Now
he looks at the new strangers Dorhak, Mae and<br>
Raki. Dorhak
he can almost understand the small bearded ugly<br>
one. But Mae
is a mystery in itself. Back home most females<br>
would not be so
open to just stand naked in front of strangers<br>
much less
allies. But Pyan would not be a man if he hadn't<br>
noticed her
carefully. But this thing with her being half demon<br>
though is a bit
elusive for him to get close to at this point.<br>
Especially after
she attacked Dorhak. Maybe once she proves<br>
herself?<br><br>
Pyan
is amazed at the collected loot - several hundred<br>
pounds of it
mostly gems and jewelry. Pyan mentions that<br>
he should like his
share of the worthless items. Later in<br>
a few days when
things are sold the others will give him<br>
a bag of
silver. More coin he has ever seen. But it seems<br>
second nature to
the others like Z'leyra, Unali and Kiet. But<br>
over 60 gold could
find him a place to stay for sure. But a<br>
hunter is more
keen to be outside not in some cramped bedroom.<br>
Maybe one day he
can settle down and get a family like this<br>
Cholan
fellow. Pyan eyes Cholan's bad arm but others say he<br>
wears it as a rite
of passage even though Arawn could fix it.<br><br>
Pyan
checks the metal helmet he got from the prison. it seems<br>
to fit well but
the visor and hunting would not do so well.<br>
Later he learns
from the Sidh it has magic to protect him<br>
against something
called the Div. Probably a demon or such.<br>
But at least it
will protect his head.<br><br>
Pyan
then hefts the Bastard Sword up and swings it. He is<br>
clearly not used
to swords. Spears are clearly his thing. But<br>
swords do have a
slightly better damage bonus and are better for<br>
wide arcing
attacks than one thrusting attacks from spears.<br><br>
Pyan
hears Unali talk about her plans to improve her agility.<br>
The hunter is
curious why when she is quite the able woman. But<br>
it gives him an
idea. Maybe he can improve his dexterity and<br>
agility as
well. If anything it will improve his overall<br>
defense
standing.<br><br>
The
hunter also is in awe of the magic users. Seeing what<br>
Arawn, Z'leyra,
Fremea and even Kiet do is something that he<br>
finds
interesting. A hunter should live on the land and hunt<br>
to
survive. But to have magic at times when no game is
around<br>
would be a nice
bonus. Kiet's tokens were fascinating as well.<br>
But maybe he can
learn himself.<br><br>
During
a lull in the party he asks how hard it would be to<br>
learn magic.
He hears opinions from everyone. To learn the<br>
ways of the Sidh
to learn that Foyson Theft or Wizardry to<br>
learn Sustenance
would take time. At least over a hundred days<br>
if even find a
teacher. The party knows finding a wizard<br>
teacher should be
easy. But to find a Sidh teacher might be a<br>
bit more difficult
unless one of them taught. Pyan would hate<br>
to take up the
time from the party for over 3 months just for<br>
him.<br>
<br>
It
started out simply as he asks, "Yes I wish to learn the<br>
magician's
spell."<br><br>
But
his hopes decline when he learns the length of time<br>
and chances of
finding a Sidh teacher here is slim. He<br>
resigns to maybe
learning it next time.<br><br>
Pyan
enjoys the food and drink with the party for the rest of<br>
the
night.<br><br>

[Decalis 3rd,
1635TH]<br>
[Sivas, Marentia -
Z'leyra's Manor]<br><br>
Pyan
wakes up at the manor. He had planned to stay here<br>
but doesn't recall
how he got here. The ale must've been<br>
too strong.
Last thing he recalls was trying to learn some<br>
Dwarf song holding
Dorhak across the shoulder and weaving<br>
back and forth
singing. After that it was a blur.<br><br>
Pyan
finds himself in a very nice bed. Granted its not<br>
a sleeping bag or
bed of leaves. But it smells nice. Pyan<br>
then realizes he
is in only underwear. Unsure where his<br>
clothes are he
sees some leather clothing on a chair. He<br>
dresses and finds
the kitchen, He learns the steward with<br>
some help from
others got him into bed and send his clothes<br>
out to get cleaned
as they were a bit smelly.<br><br>
Smelly? Hunters like that. But fine. These fresh
new<br>
clothes will do
fine till he gets his set back. The cook<br>
gives him a nice
breakfast.<br><br>
The
steward quietly directs him to a local bathhouse as<br>
he could use a
bath and a shave. Pyan shrugs. Why not.<br>
Mae has been all
eager to get this bath thing done. So<br>
why not try
it.<br><br>
After
the bath Pyan finds his horse and ensures it is<br>
fed, groomed and
cleaned. The stable boy said it was<br>
already
done.<br><br>
Pyan
looks around at the estate and figures such a place<br>
is too large for
him. Maybe a small place with 2 rooms<br>
is best for
him. But who knows maybe he'll change his<br>
view on things as
time passes.<br><br>
Pyan
checks on his gear and ensures everything is there<br>
from Chion's
retrieval. Pyan enters the manor's small<br>
library. The
steward did it is for everyone as her private<br>
books are
elsewhere. Pyan decides to spend the afternoon<br>
just relaxing and
reading a bit. <br><br>
That
night those who stay at the manor eat a nice dinner and<br>
talk about their
plans for the future.<br><br>
<br>
[Decalis 4th,
1635TH]<br>
[Sivas,
Marentia]<br><br>
Pyan
mounts up and heads into town.<br><br>
Entering the largest market he stops at a tailor and gets<br>
his cloak repaired
and cleaned. Minor cuts and tears from a<br>
month of travels
need to be taken care of. The tailor offers<br>
to also look at
his boots. This takes a few hours.<br><br>
He
then gets his bridle and horseshoes looked at and<br>
minor fixes
made.<br><br>
Pyan
then restocks his travel rations, water skins and<br>
and any fresh meat
and such he may need if he decides to<br>
go hunting.
It seems cheating to use rations but in a bad<br>
day of hunting it
can save lives. So this will give him almost<br>
3 weeks of food if
needed. He then buys some arrows. He does<br>
plan to do some
hunting in the hills so will lose some. He<br>
buys 68 in case he
spends a couple months in the hills. Course<br>
he can recover
most but just in case. One day maybe he'll<br>
learn the Fletcher
skill.<br><br>
Pyan
enters a tavern for a late lunch and decides to try the<br>
turkey as turkey
in his homeland are not as common as down here.<br><br>
Lastly
he enters a armor shop and skips the gleaming chain and<br>
plates. A
hunter in plate. Yeah right. He eyes the quilted<br>
armor to replace
his suit he lost in the fire. The clerk hovers<br>
around and helps
but it is nice to understand him clearly.<br>
Before they left
for Ticasi it was like trying to understand a<br>
horse speak. But
now he is actually fluent as a native here.<br>
After spending two
months with the party he picks up so much of<br>
the local
language.<br><br>
The
clerk helps Pyan select a nice set of Quilted but talks<br>
him into a set of
ring mail. Pyan explains a set of armor with<br>
rings being quiet
hunting might not work. But the clerk<br>
explains if done
well it can be very quiet as you can wear it<br>
with quilted
armor. This gives him double the protection. This<br>
seems to entice
Pyan as he was almost killed twice. He hears<br>
the price of 5
silver! That would cut him deeply. But he knows<br>
he's like 60 gold
coming soon from the party treasure. So he<br>
buys
both.<br><br>
Lastly
based on some tips by party, manor steward and Cholan<br>
he finds a sword
master who sells flowers. He has a good<br>
reputation. It
seems odd a warrior selling flowers but it must<br>
be a steady
income. Pyan asks if he could help him learn how<br>
to use the Bastard
Sword.<br><br>

[Decalis 5th,
1635TH]<br>
[Sivas,
Marentia]<br><br>
Pyan
decides to start his dexterity training. According<br>
to others in the
party this will include juggling from what<br>
Kiet can show in
his spare time, finger flexing, ball tricks,<br>
fancy weapon
techniques and nimble moving of the entire body in<br>
various non normal
ways. He intends to do this for the late<br>
afternoon and
night time hours for the next 20 days. This<br>
should at least
improve his dexterity to a degree.<br><br>
But in
the morning Kristov the sword teacher who gives his<br>
stand to his
brother will teach Pyan for 8 hours a day for<br>
the next 2 weeks.
It should be enough to learn the sword<br>
skill. It
will cost Pyan 20 copper to learn but it is worth it<br>
for now.<br><br>
Over
the next 20 days Pyan and Kristov spar and learn the<br>
sword at the
manor. In the late afternoon and night he does<br>
his dexterity
training.<br><br>

Kristov explains his training is complete. They do<br>
one final sparing
action. Sure Pyan is easily defeated<br>
but he has
improved. Kristov takes his leave and hopes<br>
Pyan will train
more. <br>

Pyan
watches as Chion takes some of the party to Ba'ru to<br>
Kell's
funeral. Kell was a good guy and talked to Pyan. But<br>
Pyan could never
decide if he was going to attend. So he<br>
remained in
Marentia.<br><br>

1635TH]<br>
[Sivas,
Marentia]<br><br>
For
the last six days the dexterity training moved to<br>
full days giving
Pyan time to travel to the Kaylle's library<br>
to do some
reading.<br><br>
At the
Library the Faerry Scholar Kaylle helps to locate<br>
stories and myths
that Pyan finds fascinating. It is his<br>
intention to one
day share these store is with his tribe. To<br>
show what it is
like outside the forest of his homeland.<br><br>

1635TH]<br>

Marentia]<br><br>
For
the next 20 days Pyan trains doing only his agility to<br>
improve it.
This includes obstacle courses, avoiding things<br>
thrown at him by
the guards and using his body in ways that<br>
will improve his
agility like minor acrobatics.<br><br>
While
this will only take 8 hours a day for his spare<br>
free time he does
spend time at the library reading and<br>
writing in his own
words the events of his adventures<br>
for his
people. Kaylle offers to help with long complex<br>
words and teaches
at times.<br><br>

Pyan
enters a tavern for a quick pint of tea. It is<br>
very cold today
and needs to warm up. He is taking<br>
a break from his
agility training and heading to the<br>
library.<br><br>
As he
warms the place is not crowded with only 8 others<br>
around. Soon
a cute girl asks to sit down and warm up<br>
by the fire.
Soon the girl in her 20s starts to flirt<br>
with Pyan.
Pyan flirts back as best he can as it has been<br>
quite a long time
for Pyan and love.<br><br>
As the
girl snuggles up to him he realizes his money<br>
pouch has just
been lifted. It is ironic but his dexterity<br>
training helps
here. He felt the nimble fingers and<br>
her body move in
such a way. Pyan smiles as she says she<br>
has to get to the
latrine. But Pyan reaches for her<br>
and starts
reaching a hand out.<br><br>
The
girl who is barely dressed in a loose fitting<br>
tunic and pants
feigns shock and anger. Then Pyan<br>
stands and twirls
the girl around. Using his own nimble<br>
fingers he finds
the pouch at her waist hidden by a<br>
tray she was
using. The waitress who was apparently off<br>
duty gets
upset. This causes the bar tender to come<br>
over and they both
yell at Pyan. "Hick!" "Filthy
trash!"<br><br>
Pyan
smiles as he places the pouch back on and takes<br>
the last of his
tea and leaves.<br><br>
[Janaq 13th,
1635TH]<br>
[Sivas,
Marentia]<br>
[Late
afternoon]<br><br>
Pyan
finishes his Agility training and is happy to see<br>
the obstacle
course removed. He feels far more agile than<br>
he did
before. <br><br>
Z'leyra has returned a few days now but Pyan feels his<br>
stay is
over. He does not want to over stay. He packs<br>
up and decides to
head to the hills for more training.<br>
It would be good
to sit at a campfire and sleep in a<br>
tent on a lumpy
sleeping bag again.<br><br>
Pyan
learns the laws that hunters are not allowed to<br>
take game within 5
miles of city walls. Outside that and<br>
beyond a mile from
any place in the city margins it is<br>
allowed. So
Pyan leaves the city heading west where there<br>
is said to be less
people than north, east and south.<br><br>
Kaylle
had days before introduced Pyan to a hillsman<br>
who knows the area
well. His name is Amic Pyan had<br>
hoped to stay in
the hills alone. But it would be good<br>
to be taught the
hills with another outdoors man. Amic<br>
refuses to take
coin for teaching Pyan. <br><br>

Over the
next 10 days Amic teaches Pyan how to survive<br>
and learn from the
hills. For the next 12 days after that<br>
Pyan learns on his own
and does hunting. <br><br>

Pyan
now considers himself a decent hillsman. Only twice<br>
did hunting
fail. But he has been able to live off the<br>
land and only use
his rations once. Water is a bit more<br>
critical and a few
streams and old wells are used.<br><br>

Over
the next 22 days Pyan hunts and spends his spare<br>
time improving his
Bowyer skill in making bows from<br>
scratch and how to
improve them.<br><br>

Pyan
is riding in the hills when he encounters 2 men with<br>
heavy
swords. They look like warriors to Pyan. Coming<br>
close they explain
they are after some thief that stole<br>
cash from a noble
estate. But Pyan does not even look<br>
like the thief so
simply let him move on.<br><br>

Pyan's
horses seems suddenly nervous and Pyan checks<br>
for snakes as he
was hunting a rabbit. But sees nothing<br>
nearby on
ground. Then he hears a noise he heard before<br>
on the Zen'da
plains. He looks up to the north and sees<br>
4 griffins flying
toward him. Pyan looks around but there<br>
is no good cover
just open hills with little foliage.<br><br>
Pyan
knows he has no choice but to fight or lose his<br>
horse. He
pulls his bow and cocks it. His first arrow goes<br>
out but
misses. The second hits #4 doing 3 points of damage.<br>
Third hits #2
doing 7 points. Pyan knows he has only one<br>
more chance before
they are on him. The fourth arrow hits<br>
#1 doing 23
points! The Griffin begins to tumble as it<br>
recovers from the
almost fatal damage.<br><br>
Pyan
throws his bow down and tumbles off the horse just<br>
as the other 3
pass over clawing at him. He rolls onto<br>
the ground and
stands holding his new bastard sword. Pyan<br>
swings at one
griffin as it passes but missed.<br><br>
Two
circle above and continue to dive but one lands as it<br>
approaches to
fight. Pyan swings at the creature hitting<br>
him in the
shoulder doing 3 points of damage.<br><br>
The
other 2 dive for his horse and the horse senses this<br>
and moves just as
they dive. One claw does clip the saddle<br>
but doesn't catch
on.<br><br>
The
one almost killed gets to the air a bit weak and<br>
goes to help his
friends. Pyan thrusts at #3 again and<br>
hits doing 18
points to his left wing.<br><br>
Griffin #2 dives for horse again but he runs away.<br><br>
Griffin #1 who was almost killed and #4 dive for Pyan.<br>
Griffin #1 fails
to hit as it is too weak. But #4 claws<br>
at Pyan's right
shoulder doing 3 points of damage.<br><br>
Pyan
charges Griffin #1 who he almost killed as it tries to<br>
get to the
air. He thrusts and does the damage needing to take<br>
him down.
One down 3 to go.<br><br>
Griffin #2 and #4 both dive for the horse. This time<br>
#2 latches on but
#4 loses his grip so the horse is only<br>
lifted up a few
inches before dropped due to bad overall<br>
coordination.<br><br>
Griffin #3 knocks Pyan down as he dives and a claw<br>
hits him in the
lower right chest doing 2 more points.<br><br>
But as
Griffin #3 tries to fly away Pyan thrusts his sword<br>
and impales him in
the stomach doing 8 points of damage. The<br>
Griffin slams into
the ground about 4 feet from Pyan. Two<br>
down 2 to
go.<br><br>
Griffin #2 tries for horse again but the horse stands<br>
tall and bucks at
the griffin.<br><br>
Griffin #4 dives for Pyan but misses I his attack run.<br><br>
Pyan
charges Griffin #4 just as it begins to lift upwards.<br>
He swipes and does
5 more points to it.<br><br>
Griffin #2 dives for Pyan but fails to hit. Griffin #4<br>
dives for the
horse and lifts it up! The horse begins to<br>
neigh in horror as
the two lift to the sky.<br><br>
Pyan
yells in alarm as he watches the horse going up and<br>
down as it is
tried to be pulled upwards. Pyan forgets<br>
the other one and
runs to help. If the griffin gets<br>
enough strength to
get him higher than a few feet up the<br>
horse is
lost. But if he uses his sling or bow he could<br>
hurt the horse and
it could fall and break a leg. But<br>
he has to take the
chance. He runs as fast as he can<br>
and swipes at the
griffin's side. The blade hits doing<br>

points! The griffin still holding the horse begins<br>
to falter and get
lower.<br><br>
Griffin #2 dives toward the horse to help his ally<br>
but misses as he
tries to claw the horse.<br><br>
Griffin #4 releases the horse only 2 feet from the ground.<br>
The horse lands
squarely and doesn't fall! Pyan thrusts<br>
at the fleeing
griffin but fails to hit.<br><br>
Suddenly out of the south a white object dives toward<br>
Griffin #4.
Pyan sees a flash of red then the griffin<br>
tumbles and
crashes to the ground.<br><br>
Pyan
sees Corona fly over and squawk. Pyan cheers as<br>
the strange bird
must've been looking out for him.<br><br>
With
three down the last griffin gives up and flies away.<br><br>
Pyan
goes to the downed griffins and find each still alive.<br>
He stabs and
ensures they are dead.<br><br>
Checking his horse he finds only minor cuts and scraps.<br><br>
Pyan
finds his 2 wounds are light. He considers going ot<br>
Z'leyra or others
for healing. But a hunter relies on<br>
the
wilderness. If it doesn't heal naturally after he<br>
dresses it he'll
go to town.<br><br>
It
takes some time for Pyan to calm the horse down.<br>
But once done they
both leave the area.<br><br>

Pyan
wakes up and checks his wound. He sees it has indeed<br>
healed so guess no
need to see a healer. <br><br>

Today
the wound does not heal but it is not infected<br>
so he'll give it
another day.<br><br>

Pyan discovers the wound is completely healed. Only<br>
needed a couple
days.<br><br>

While
tracking a wounded deer Pyan comes across a camp<br>
surrounded by
boulders and trees well hidden away from general<br>
view. Pyan
takes time to study and they look like rough men.<br>
There must be a
dozen men around the camp eating breakfast.<br>
Pyan can hear them
talk about stealing silver from a merchant's<br>
wagon they robbed
the previous afternoon. The road is a good<br>
3 miles away at
best so this must be some kind of bandit camp.<br>
He knows some like
Farseeker would charge in and take them down.<br>
But he is alone
against a dozen men. So he scurries away. Maybe<br>
at least he can
let city guards know of the camp.<br><br>
[Febris 25th -
Febris 27th, 1635TH]<br>

Hills west of Sivas]<br>

am]<br><br>
Pyan
wakes up from eating his rabbit stew to sound of<br>
horses.
Suddenly a large group of 10 men all armed come<br>
into sight.
They explain they are after some bandits that<br>
killed a merchant,
robbed him and kidnapped his 10 year old<br>
daughter.<br><br>
Pyan
feels sick when he hears this. There was no sign<br>
of a girl in the
bandit camp? Unless she was in a tent.<br>
If they had six
days with her no telling if she is still alive.<br>
Pyan stands and
gives directions to the bandit camp which<br>
is further
west. The men explain if it is the bandits and<br>
they can save the
girl there may be a reward for him. They ask<br>
where Pyan can be
located in town and he tells them Z'leyra's<br>
estate. The
men probably hired mercs ride off to find the<br>
bandits.<br><br>

Pyan
riding his hose encounters 6 men and women dressed<br>
in semi formal
robes with blue stripes and symbols. They<br>
greet the hunter
warmly. They explain they are heading<br>
south deep into
the hills to find a rare yellow rooster.<br>
They believe this
chicken will bring great wealth to their<br>
religious group by
granting them luck. Pyan rolls his eyes.<br>
Baby chicks are
yellow but when older not yellow. Course<br>
if this adult
rooster remained yellow then it might be<br>
a very odd
sight. But it is not Pyan's thing and it is<br>
at least 2 days
away.<br><br>

Today
is the last day Pyan spends on his Bowyer skill.<br>
Who knows if
he ever learns magic he could make magical<br>
bows to help
boost his chances in combat.<br><br>

decides to practice his Bow skill by using it in hunting<br>
greatly and target
practice. He figures he can try it for 3<br>

boar dodges and weaves suddenly it disappears.<br>
Pyan figures it
found a hole. But as Pyan nears he sees<br>
a crack in
earth. He tries to brace but it comes up so<br>
fast he falls
down. The hole further opens due to his<br>
size and he is now
about 5 feet from the surface. The<br>
boar squeals in
a huge panic. Then as his eyes adjust<br>
to the darkness
the hole is about 30 feet wide while the<br>
crack is only 3-4
feet wide. But to his left he notices<br>
a opening or
tunnel. But the boar continues to panic<br>
and claw to get up
top side.<br><br>
Pyan
kills the boar if only to get him to hush. Then<br>
curious he walks
further down. His fall was mostly taken<br>
by rocks and sand
as he slid down so he did not take<br>
any damage.
Such places are common for animals to use<br>
for
homes.<br><br>
This
place looks like a cave system. As Pyan creeps alone in<br>
the darkness he
enters a large cave that is 50 feet wide and 22-<br>
23 feet
tall. But there are no natural formations like a cave<br>
has from
erosion. Then Pyan's spine bristles as he hears a<br>
moan.
Turning right he then notices a very large form sleeping.<br><br>
It is
a large man! No. As Pyan peers closer it seems<br>
he has only 1 eye
and this guy is 800 or so pounds big.<br><br>
Suddenly the thing wakes up and licks his lips and<br>
sniffs the
air. The thing says a word but Pyan doesn't<br>
have to be a
language expert to know he probably said<br>
"food". The thing begins to stir and stand.<br><br>
Pyan
looks right to where he fell and knows he will<br>
have to climb to
escape and this thing could get him<br>
firs. But if
he doesn't provoke it maybe he can escape.<br><br>
The
thing stands and Pyan can see it must be 18 feet<br>
tall. Pyan
turns and runs. But suddenly the earth<br>
begins to
shake. The earthquake forces Pyan into the<br>
side of the cave
and he loses his balance. He drops<br>
his boar spear and
tries to scramble to his knees. But<br>
he sees the Earth
Giant coming for him.<br><br>
Firing
a arrow might just piss him off so he gets<br>
to his feet and
runs to the opening. He tries to<br>
climb as fast as
he can. Using the rocks and sane he<br>
does his best
impression as a wall climber and gets<br>
to 2 feet to the
surface. But the sand suddenly<br>
shifts from
another quake and he slips back to the<br>
ground.<br><br>
The
Giant roars and lumbers forward ducking as he<br>
enters the small
tunnel. Pyan stands and tries to<br>
climb again.
This time he gets to the surface just<br>
as the giant
emerges into the smaller sink hole area.<br>
Pyan points to the
dead boar hoping to distract the<br>
giant and climbs
back to the surface. Pyan on all<br>
fours crawls a few
feet and sees his horse eating<br>
like nothing bad
going on.<br><br>
Pyan
looks back and sees nothing. Maybe the beast doesn't<br>
like the sun or is
eating the boar? Pyan stands and dusts<br>
himself off.
He realizes he lost his boar spear. But going<br>
back for it is not
a option. Pyan steps a few feet toward his<br>
horse when he
hears a roar.<br><br>
Turning he sees the giant sticking his top half which is<br>
still about 12
feet out of the ground. The one eye stares at<br>
Pyan and he
snarls.<br><br>
Pyan
then realizes he may need a new set of underwear. He<br>
runs to his horse
and mounts up just as the Giant climbs to the<br>
surface with a
supernatural ease. The giant now 18 feet above<br>
the ground wearing
leather roars.<br><br>
Pyan
turns the horse around and orders it to run as best he<br>
can. As Pyan
looks over his shoulder he notices the giant has<br>
slipped into the
ground like 2-3 feet and seems to be gliding<br>
toward him as if
using the earth to surf a wave!<br><br>
Pyan
knows this thing is fast. Pyan curses himself he never<br>
learned to fire a
bow on horseback like some Zen'da do. The<br>
horse finally
breaks away gaining his stride. Pyan finally sees<br>
the giant slip
further behind. Soon it seems the giant tires<br>
and the distance
gets further apart.<br><br>
To
ensure there is no chance of being found the horse<br>
continues to ride
fast east a couple miles. Then Pyan dismounts<br>
and checks if he
has some clean underwear. He decides best not<br>
to share this
story.<br><br>

Pyan
encounters while riding looking for game three<br>
wagons. With
about 10 people in all 3. They ask<br>
Pyan where Sivas
since they are lost coming from the<br>
far south.
Pyan gives directions. The wagons must've gone<br>
overland for a few
days roughly.<br><br>

Pyan
encounters a large group maybe 2 dozen men who<br>
seem to be
enjoying walking in the woods. They are<br>
drinking and
yelling. Pyan has heard stories of hill<br>
folk who just live
in the hills never going to the<br>
city. These
must be some of them. They don't seem<br>
to be mean or
upset just in a very festive mood. Pyan<br>
rides on and
wonders if inbreeding is natural for hill<br>
folk as it seemed
with a few of them.<br><br>
[Marqi 23rd -
Febris 27th, 1635TH]<br>
[Sivas,
Marentia]<br><br>
Pyan
has several good pelts and fresh meat to sell and<br>
too much to handle
anymore. So Pyan decides to go to<br>
Sivas to sell
it. He is not a tanner but the leather<br>
and animal
byproducts should be good to sell. He gets 29<br>
copper for the
material.<br><br>
Pyan
decides to stock up on food, rations and water<br>
again. Then
he decides to head to Z'leyra's place to<br>
check on the
party. Once there a guard tells him the<br>
merchant's did
send a reward. The guard tosses a bag<br>
of 8 silver.
But sadly he reports the girl killed herself<br>
after nights of
torture and rape by the bandits. But all<br>
the bandits were
killed.<br><br>
Pyan
feels sad but he had no idea the girl was there and<br>
to take on 12 men
would've been suicide. <br>

GM: Pyan gave a
small IBT and I gave suggestions. He voted<br>
for option 2 in my suggestions. The above is based on<br>
those ideas. This IBT does point out that going into<br>
the wild (or for the city for that matter) can be dangerous.<br>
Pyan did amazing with the Griffins. But for Giant there<br>
was little choice but to run. If he had stayed he'd<br>
probably be dead. This is why a sop on doing random encounters<br>
is important. Just a note the D/A stat boost was not<br>
from multipilers but from the 4:1 day training to earn 1<br>
point each. <br><br>
