[Recap]

From Dorhak: [Re:
Actions]
Well, Dorhak isn't
a magic user, so I don't really have
that much of an
opinion. I think I'll abstain on this vote.
GM: Ack. That's fine but you
are allowed a vote I mean even Pyan
voted.
:)

From Mae: [Re: Actions]
Sorry all, if
allowed, I'll return. Please don't kill Mae.
I know she's just
loveable.
GM: Ack. Welcome
back.

From Kiet: [Re:
Actions]
Now that Kiet is
back home, he hopes to have a ...

"We spoke in
the past about perhaps trading some NMI....
GM: Ack. This post was
made the rest was done in email
so not
posted here. The thread of NMI trading.

From Wout: [Re: Actions[
Welcome back. As
if Mae never left.
GM: Ack.

From Arawn: [Re: Mae's
Return]
Welcome back and
no worries. Arawn has a place in the
works still for
Sivas (it was really made for you, lol,
as Arawn is almost
never in Sivas:) so Mae could always
have a good excuse
to rejoin the party there whenever:)
GM: Ack. I went back to his
original plan to stay at brothels.
Since
I figured you already started IBT would be hard to
restart. But can still get a place for next time.

From Dorhak: [Re:
Actions]
Wow! That
was a fun read. Thanks Scott!!!

That looks like a
lot of work.

+1 CEL.
Yessssss!
GM: Ack. Yep A lot of
work. It was fun. Glad you liked it.
Congrats on CEL.

From David: [Re: Mae's
IBT]
I read this and
thought that Fremea would have locked all the
doors, just to
watch people get locked out of their houses.
She would think
that was hilarious!
GM: Ack. Well being caught
would've been bad for her. :)

From Mae: [Re" Revised
IBT]
While they both
took a break, Master Sanis and...
GM: Ack. Interesting
edits. Thanks.

From Mae: [Re: Dog
lover?]
As for being a dog
person, Mae hasn't had the best of luck
with dogs in the
city during her 4 months of IBT.
GM: Ack. Yep 2 encounters with
bad dogs. OR are they just
sessing what Mae is? hmmm...

From David: [Re: Actions]
I'm sure she is
more of a dog-person...??
GM: Ack. :)
[Cholan's
Tavern]

Now
that Kiet is back home, he hopes to have a little time
to haggle about
NMI with
Arawn.

"We spoke in the past about perhaps trading some NMI
enhancement
secrets. I have four, if you are interested.
Amaranth, Fern
Seeds, Rowan, and Pigeon Stones. I have these
written in Katai,
for now. Would these be useful to you?
Would you have
some to give in trade?"

Next
Update....Soon..

GM: Still not
enough votes yet. From chart below we are half
done with IBTs. The two big ones Arawn/Z are soon.
Fremea
and Mournath should be easy. Now to start Kiet's this
week.

Just wanted to catch up on posts and do a quick update.
Due to issues Kiet's IBT is on hold to redo a few things.
So at this point I have no IBT to work on. Next one
that comes in will be done. I'm off 4 days next week
so good time. Many have not started theirs yet?

Just some clarifications on IBT. Visual spells and
recasting. As well as pre-ibt.

Pre-IBT: Many like John and even Mae have sent email
on things they have to clarify. This is fine. It
is good to know before IBT is processed. So for
example if you don't know how long X needs to be
crafted or if chances of finding NMI Y then ask. I
can give some of those details as best I can. In the
end I don't have all the answers because events do
change. The variables change like where you may be
in Sivas or some barbarian wilderness. Stuff like that.
So if you are unsure on a procedure or game mechanic
please ask now.

Visuals: In my universe magic has SOME visual cues. But
not all. For obvious reasons they should not all have
cues. For example Entropy is such a chaotic random
spell giving it a cue is difficult. While many do have
cues. We've seen how I do healing with green cues.
As a MU one may not know a spell fails. But even if
no cues are given there are ways to figure it out.
Luck spell you can roll some dice and see if odds
change. Knowledge you feel new info. And so on.
For IBT purposes one can use Detection, Divination (though
if no visual cues kind of hard), mana sensing and a few
other tricks to determine failure. But common sense can
help out as well. If you add appearance to a amulet
and don it and don't see change in mirror. Well maybe
the spell failed. :) In a table game this would be the
case as well. One should assume spells will fail. That
is a given. it is how you plan for it that is critical.
I suppose I could sit and list what spells have visual
cues for the 500 or so spells. That would be kind of
interesting task. But would I remember that same cue later
on months later? :)

2- Use rule with NMI exception
3- 3 Items 4- 4 items

I do agree there is a NMI exception and I found it
in Richard's (the game's author) comments way back in
the '90s. Sadly no majority unless count Unali's vote
as 2. So will see if any others come in. But looks like
rule remains as is.
