* Mournath's
IBT

[Before Decalis,
1635TH]
[Shape Shifter
Prison]

Mournath watches as the strange Arawn Guardian thing proposes
his options.
To return to the party and risk possible escape or
more likely death
or simply leave the group and be magically
transported
someplace.

This
whole mess is not much of what he does. It is in a place
hot and not a shed
of water. He is grateful for being rescued
by this bunch of
folks. But his goal is to explore and be on
the open
water. When he was on that river barge he had no idea
what they were
doing with or to Mae or not doing. The strange red
head was quiet on
the river voyage. He regrets leaving the others
but what if they
simply don't escape?

Mournath decides and takes the portal to the outside world.
As he steps
through he hopes the others will not hate him for
leaving. He
also wonders if this guardian can do such power to
send folks away
then why not all allow them to leave.

"Escape through this simple way comes at great cost.
Awareness and
attention rain down." The guardian simply
states as if he
could read Mournath's mind. Then Mournath
steps
through.

[Decalis 1st,
1635TH, Unknown]

Mournath appears on the docks somewhere where it is bright
and sunny. A
cold chill sweeps in from the water. He suddenly
feels his beard
and hair extremely long. As if he has been away
for months.
Later when he asks around he learns he was away 10
months in the
prison. Yet it was only a day at most inside.
Somehow he
transitioned through time in a blink of an eye.

Mournath asks around where he is. It takes 5 people before
they seem to
understand his language. "You are in Bhamotin.
The town of
Ismore." The fisherman explains. Mournath tries
to recall things
on what others said in the party. This nation
is to the south of
Marentia. But it looks like this small
sleepy fishing
village barely has enough people to order a tug
of war
match.

Mournath finds the few buildings where there is only on small
tavern with rooms
upstairs. It is easy as there are only 3-4
buildings aside
from some sheds and warehouses. At the docks
there are a half
dozen fishing boats but no merchant class
ships.
Mournath realizes that some here speak Marentian so
this is
good. He orders food. Then gobbles it down. Then
orders two more
plates. It is as if he hasn't ate in months.
It is a good thing
he already speaks Bhamoti only a crude
level. That
way he can ask for a blade to cut his hair and
shave.

It is
evening when Mournath takes a room and sleeps.

[Decalis 1st,
1635TH, Bhamotin]

Mournath wakes up before dawn and heads to the docks. He
asks if he can get
a ride to a larger city like Sivas in
Marentia.
Three captains deny the request as they are heading
west. But one does
say he sails to the Cholchara Sea to fish for
large bass.
They do get near Sivas.

Mournath helps out with the fishing as the small old boat makes
its way up the
coast north. The crew tell of tells of Climan or
regular
pirates. But most deem fishing boats not worthy of
attack. At
least not until a full haul is made then they are
holding money in
the form of fish.

Mournath sleeps on deck with the smell of dried blood and
fish in the
air. But he feels at home.

[Decalis 2nd,
1635TH, Sivas, Marentia]

At
sunrise anchor is raised and it takes another hour before
the boat - The
Shook - bends the peninsula to Sivas. They dock
briefly enough to
take on water and leave. But Mournath heads
to the larger
docks.

At a
sailors tavern he finds many captains. He asks about
passage as a
navigator to help out his skills and help out the
crew. After 4
captains he finds one named Whiskor not because
of the whiskers on
his face but he likes a certain brandy of
whiskey and talks
funny while drunk.

Whiskor is in need of a Navigator indeed. They sail mostly
around the
Cholchara Sea and up the river to Ba'ru. But at
times they do head
to the Sea of Tears for longer trips. In
this case
they do have a large haul to ship to Ticasi. Whiskor
agrees to test the
sailor and try him out. If he doesn't work
out he'll be
dropped off in Porta in Thaliba. Mournath agrees
to this deal but
he knows the trip will be dangerous with
Climan pirates in
the area.

Whiskor then asks basic sailor questions on ship use and then
how to read maps
that he pulls out. This seems to make Whiskor
happy and they
share a drink. "We sail tomorrow at sunrise.
The cargo, a
shipment of luxury items and tools is needed in
Ticasi."

Mournath tries to find this tavern the party talked about.
But he can't find
a place with Chokan in the name. He thinks
that is the
name. So he can't find Cholan's tavern. He asks
around for
possible known places the party may be but can't
find any
one. He fears the party has not escaped and are all
dead.

[Decalis 3rd,
1635TH, Sivas, Marentia]

' Before sunrise
Mournath to the large merchant ship - named the
Opal Mist.
He boards and gets a tour of the ship but is short.
Captain gives
orders to raise anchor and depart Marentia.

Mournath studies the reef and barrier maps and navigates the
ship that holds a
crew of 32 to the Sea of Tears. As the
ship leaves Sivas
he hopes the group will be safe if they
aren't dead.
In fact Mournath misses the party's arrival
by mere
hours.

Once
past the narrow straits the ship heads north west
down the Marentian
coast with first stop at Malnon city.

Mournath takes the rest of the day getting to know the
crew of the Opal
Mist.

[Decalis 4th,
1635TH, Sivas, Marentia]

For
the next 27 days Mournath tries to practice and improve
his Navigator
skill. For the first few days Whiskor wants
to see him do it
on his own. Once he has proven himself
then the crew and
captain help to teach some Navigator skills
for
Mournath.

[Decalis 5th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 9:08
am]

Mournath is studying reef charts for Malnon city to come
when bells and
yells are heard. Mournath looks up to see
the crows nest
warning to the west. Whiskor comes up on
deck and raises
his spy glass. He lowers it and then
goes completely
pale. "No...No...No!"

Mournath can see a large black form approaching from
the west. It
is maybe a mile away. Then the captain
yells "Sea
Dragon!"

Mournath then realizes he may be on a doomed ship. Did
he make a bad
decision. Now he wishes the party were here
they could
probably handle a sea dragon. But this crew?

"These dragons sometimes don't sink ships. We ma be
lucky. We'll
have to fight it off. At least they can't
fly.
Everyone to station!"

The
ship deck flows with sailors who are obviously not
meant for
combat. Most carry spears or swords. Some lucky
souls have long
pikes. Mournath considers just fleeing but
knows the dragon
is too fast. On the surface it seems slow
but if it goes
underwater it will out run the ship.

Mournath grabs his spear and shield as he has little choice
but to help defend
the ship. Looks like most of the crew are
ready to fight
with weapons and armor. Maybe 20 of them. But
he knows it might
be a short fight if the ship sinks.

"Try to at least do as much to it as can to scare it away!
Go for the
eyes! It will only have one main weapon its
mouth! Try
not to force it over the edge to sink us. Stay
on the side as
much as you can!" The captain yells.

Five
sailors with bows fire but 2 of the arrows just
bounce off it
while 3 go into the water. Then another
five arrows are
fired. A cheer erupts when the first
arrow penetrates
deep into the dragon doing an amazing
17 points.
The 5th one hits but bounces while the others
fail. The
crew now know if its not upset now it certainly
will be at this
point.

The
last set of arrows fly with 2 bouncing off the large
sea dragon whlie 3
splash.

Then
the beast hits the deck. The dragon that is 22 feet
long and a good 18
feet out of the water, simply lunges over
the railing and
eats a sailor whole.

The
crew surge with weapons slashing and thrusting. Of
The 30 fighting 7
make contact with weapons. But only 2
make past the
tough armor doing 1 point each. Mournath
stabs the dragon
himself doing 3 points of damage.

The
dragon lunges again for sailor #26 which is right to
the right of
Mournath. But the sailor dives away before
it can eat
him.

Mournath realizes these dragons must not have special
magic or powers
like fire. This would be a plus if they
do not.

Of the
30 crew 9 get in attacks. A 10th one actually
loses his balance
and falls over the side as the dragon's
wing bashes
him. Two of the sailors get through doing 2
more points to the
beast. Mournath is unable to get to
the dragon and
misses.

Sailor
#15 is taken in one quick gulp and eaten.

Of the
6 one of the sailor hits doing 1 more point of
damage.
Three more get good aims doing 5 more points in
severe
hits.

Mournath is able to stab the dragon in the left wing
that doesn't allow
flight doing 15 points of damage!

The
dragon roars and dives under the waters. This
causes the crew to
panic. If the dragon comes up under
the ship and lifts
the ship is doomed. They turn to
Mournath to
navigate fast toward the coast. Mournath
rushes to the
wheel and begins to turn left and right
to evade. If
they are forced to they'll lose the ship
on the shore and
live that way.

The
dragon then from behind roars up out of the water
and belches water.
In its mouth the sailor that fell
over in its maw
and is swallowed. The dragon then dives
back under the
water. The watch advises the beast is
moving west to
open sea and better prey. Mournth stops
his direct course
for the shore and turns north to go
back to his
original course.

"We were lucky. I guess it was fed enough to go
away. We did
great guys! You too Mournath. Let's
get this ship back
in shape!"

Mournath is dismayed to see how 3 sailors are just
ignored.
Three dead and the crew go back to business.
But this is how it
tends to be. Ship life is dangerous.
Only that night do
toasts and songs are done.

[Decalis 6th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 10:07
am]

The
ship is near a storm a good 2 miles away. Whiskor
lowers his spy
glass and gives it to Mournath. Mournath
looks and is
confused by the sight. A man about 7 feet
tall is 'riding'
the cloud. His hair is blowing intently.

"A Slyph I believe. But these elmentals are neutral
to us. So we
should be safe. Let the storm pass."

[Decalis 9th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 9:41
pm]

Most
of the crew are asleep as the ship is anchored. But
a quiet alert goes
out. No bells. Mournath and others
come up to see a
form flying in the dark sky. It blots out
the stars and
Whiskors tries to determine what it is. Then
a crewmen
states, "a dragon."

Whiskor orders all lights and sounds ended. They
are trying to
avoid detection. As the dragon flies
a good mile or two
away it diverts east toward the coast
and a breath is
exhaled as the ship is safe.

[Decalis 16th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 7:12
pm]

While
the merchant ship is not meant for fishing
they do drag nets
to supplement food stores. While the
crew hauls up the
net some yell. Seems a electric eel is
trapped and has
hurt one crew man. But it is something
to stop the
boredom. Mournath gets there too late to
try and kill as it
was dead already.

[Decalis 17th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 7:16
pm]

A bit
of excitement in the water as thousands of large
colorful jelly
fish are spotted floating nearby. These
particular ones
glow by internal luminous means.

[Decalis 19th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 14:21
pm]

The
crew spot a large water serpent of blue color with
two small horns
pass by. It is around 28-30 feet long.
Some of the crew
suspect it to be a water serpent the
lowest water
elemental.

[Time: 5:50
am]

Mournath is alone in his cabin as the navigator and
captain have their
own berth. It is small but it is
a nice place to be
alone.

As the
ship is in anchor near shore a creature flies
toward the
ship. It lands on deck in the darkness. The
creature looks
like a emaciated human. In physical form
it walks the
deck. It spots a sailor at the front on
watch.
Suddenly the crewman doubles over very sick as if
very tired from
lose of energy. Then the creature
opens its mouth
and a fire ball hits him and incinerating
him. Another
crewman in rear sees this and sees only the
flame. He
yells and rings the alert bell.

Mournath wakes and grabs his spear and shield running to
the top
deck. Mournath emerges on deck to see 3 more men
doubled over or
dead. Not sure what is going on he sees
the emaciated
human moving toward him. Unsure if this is
a boarding he
yells at the human. But the creature a
Iritxu demon opens
his mouth and shoots another fireball at
Mournath.
The fireball hits Mournath right on his shield
and deflects to
the side. While the damage was mostly
deflected Mournath
takes 7 points of burn damage.

Mournath charges while in intense pain. He stabs
the thing in the
chest doing 7 points of damage? The
crew around
Mournath got help. But only one gets
a hit doing no
damage. The creature turns to the
left and torches
one of the crewmen. At the same
time they double
and stagger back as they are drained
of
energy.

Mournath stabs the creature in the chest again this
time doing 22
points of damage. The Iritixu demon
disintegrates.

Crew
rush around to tend to the wounded while checking
for any other
creatures. But in the end 2 men were
torched
completely. Four more are dead from energy
loses. Mournath is
also drained and burnt. Thew crew
tend to his
wounds.

Mournath wonders what makes him different from a normal
crew man. A
different class of person? If he was just
a normal person he
might've been dead. Maybe this what
drives him
adventuring?

[Decalis 21st,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 6:57
pm]

A
recovering Mournath is awarded with a nice juicy crab
they caught the
day before. It is served as much as possible
with all the
sides. The crew also dines on the other 4
caught
crabs.

[Decalis 22nd,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 9:44
am]

The ship
encounters a large merchant convoy at sea of
8 ships. This is
well past Porta so Whiskor is worried
this will attract
pirates. The flag seems to be a
Cerulean flag. The
crew depeleted on man power decide
to share supplies with
one merchant ship. A parlay
is made and food and
other supplies are traded for. But
nothing else seems to
occur as Mournath's ship leaves.

[Time: 7:12
pm]

Just
after dusk a large school of Red Sharks are spotted
in the
water. There must be a half dozen larger than a human.

[Decalis 23rd,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]

The
ship docks in Ticasi and the cargo is unloaded. The
captain is
paid. Mournath is paid 2 gold and 4 silver for
the trip.
The captain loads up goods from Ticasi including
statues, fine art,
many books and expensive glass wear and
items to sell in
Marentia. Captain knows as long as the
glass remains
intact it is a good haul as the glass items re
in high demand in
Sivas.

[Decalis 27th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 1:13
pm]

The
ship spots 2 ships in the distance sailing south.
The flag they sail
is Cerulean and they both look to be
military style
craft. They seem to avoid the ship and
pass on.

[Time: 9:56
pm]

The
ship is startled by 3 large whales splashing nearby.
Watches spot them
but they are within only a hundred or
so feet when
spotted. The crew watches the large whales
splash around then
move on.

[Decalis 29th,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 4:12
am]

Mournath wakes up early to fix some spar issues on the
sails with other
crew men to start the day on a fast draw
of speed.

Mournath is at the wheel station inspecting reef charts
over lantern
light. When he suddenly feels a bit weak. Glacing
around he sees a
human he saw long ago the same firebreathing
demon. Well
maybe a different one but another Iritxu demon
has
arrived.

Mournath rings the alert bells of intruder on deck. Then
grabs his spear
and shield. This time though he is prepared
for any fire
breath. Mournath sees the creature open his
mouth and leaps to
the side as the fireball hits the two
crates near
him. There goes their supply of fresh fruit!

Mournath charges the demon stabbing the beast but does
little or no
damage. Three other sailors charge as they
charge into a
field that weakens them. Damaged by the
energy attack all
three fail to make contact as they become
a bit too ill to
coordinate their strikes.

The
creature turns to one of the sailor and breathes fire but
he slams down onto
the deck avoiding it.

Mournath charges and thrusts at the demon but fails to
hit. From
off to the side a yell is heard to duck. The
three crew all
slam to the deck as a sail boom swings loose
from its ropes and
slams into the demon's head. The demon
goes flying
backwards onto the railing.

Mournath charges stabbing the creature in the leg while
bashing its head
with his shield.

The
demon who is facing skyward breathes fire at Mournath.
But in fact its a
bad angle as Mournath is to the side
as the demon's
head is slammed to the ground with the sailor's
shield. The
fireball launches straight upwards into the air
almost
incinerating Mournth.

The
three sailors who ducked to the deck stand and rush
to help Mournath
but realize this fireball is going up and
must go
down. Straight for Mournath. Two of the sailors
reach for Mournath
as the fireball reverses direction from
gravity.

The
human-demon looks up and snarls muttering some foul
thing as he stares
at the fireball descending. The fireball
slams into the
demon and incinerates him for 18 points of
damage and he is
disintegrated.

As the
fire splashes on deck the crew rushes to douse it with
a bucket brigade.
This time no one died at least but at least
4 of the crew were
weakened. It takes 15 minutes to douse the
fire as it spreads
but the important sails are saved. Just
damage to the
railing and deck flooring along with some supply
crates lost.

[Janaq 1st,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]

Mournath knows the trip to Sivas may take a month so
decides to
practice this month his spear fighting skill.
Others in the crew
will help but there are days when he
may not get
complete help.

[Time: 8:57
am]

The
ship spots a pod of 4 medium sized whales swimming
nearby as they
splash.

[Janaq 2nd,
1635TH, Sea of Tears]
[Time: 4:07
am]

A sea
giant circles the ship as it anchors at sea. The
giant inspects the
anchor in the dark sea. The giant with
a strength of 6
men breaks the anchor chain. Then it
swims to the ship
and climbs to the front of the ship.
The 40 foot 800
pound giant easily climbs on deck and
the ship begins to
list due to his weight.

This
downward slope causes the crew to wake up and surge
to the
deck.

The
giant removes a very large net around his back
and waist.
It must be hundreds of feet in diameter. The
giant begins to
twirl it around and around in the air
as the first of
the crew emerge on deck.

Captain naked from bed rushes to a cabinet near the
back and removes a
large canister. He adds something
large and round to
the tube and rushes forward. He aims
it at the giant
just as the giant begins to place his feet
to throw the net
around the ship.

The
tube fires with a blam as it ejects a flying ball of
something.
It impacts in the center of the giant's chest
and causes him to
roar. But losing his balance the net
goes flying to the
side of the boat landing in the water
and half on the
ship.

Mournath realizes if he had netted the ship it could be
dragged to some
reef and the crew disposed or eaten. He must
not be able to
capture the ship. Mournath tells to attack
but for some to
burn the net. Without a net the giant
will be mostly
unable to do anything.

OF the
crew 18 men charge with weapons while a half dozen
grab torches and
lanterns to burn the net. Of the 18
men attacking 6
hit the giant, it is rather easy to hit
a target that
large, but only 1 man does 1 point of damage
as the other 5 do
not penetrate his tough hide.

Mournath stabs the giant's left leg doing 9 points with his
spear.

The
giant roars and uses both large hands to sweep the
deck. One
sailor is knocked overboard.

Seven
of the 18 crew attack the giant in various places hitting
it with weapons of
various style. But in total only 8 more
points of damage
are given to the giant. One sailor gets lucky
and impales the
giant's groin doing 12 points to his most
private
area.

Mournath tries to help but the crowd is too thick and he
can't get a good
shot in.

With
one hand the giant covers his groin and begins to
sweep the deck
with his arm. Two sailors are slammed to
the railing but
one man falls overboard.

Six of
the sailors hit the giant doing only 5 more points
to it in
total. One sailor slices a kneecap deeply doing a
massive 25 points
alone.

Mournath stabs the beast in the foot doing 15 more
points to the
giant.

The
giant turns and leaps off the ship having taken over
70 points of
damage it dives to the sea. The other crew
is able to toss
the half destroyed net over the side.

Crew
rush to the side to try to find the 2 sailors
thrown
overboard. But the night is too dark and their
ship is drifting
fast away since anchor chain is lost. The
two men are never
found.

The
captain is forced to sail the ship at night going
further out to
avoid the shore. Until they get near
Porta to buy a new
anchor. Mournath's night navigating skills
will be of great
use for this leg of the trip.

The
crew spots a very large dolphin in the water. But
this one seems to
have a human on its back. This dolphin
is golden hued and
the crew knows it as a Dolaura. The
human male is
either dead or knocked out. Then one
of the sailors
recognize him as one of the men who were
thrown overboard
and the man is retrieved thanks to the
Dolaura.
Once on board the shore boat the creature swims
away.

The
man is still alive but extremly weak and sun burn.
He is given
water and will take a couple days to
The
ship discovers a drifting small sailing ship.
It is flying a
Zara flag. As the ship gets near the
crew spot no one
on desk. The crew argue for a long
time on boarding
as boarding a ghost ship is a bad
omen.

Finally Mournath decides to board. Going below
deck he finds 3
bodies. Two adult males and a female.
They have been
killed by blades. The place is ransacked
and cleaned
out. Mournath can only guess the ship
was attacked by
pirates. Mournath reboards his ship
and Whiskor
decides to tow it as best he can to the nearest
fishing
village. Fishing boats can collect the bodies.

take the risk of

Only a
day out of Porta, Thaliba the ship has a new
expensive anchor
chain. So the ship is at rest near the
shore waiting for

But
the night watch rings the alert bell. A dark
ship is
approaching. The watch reports that a ship
would no go dark
unless it meant harm. The duty
officer calls for
battle stations and rings the bell.

Indeed
the Portan pirate comes along side quickly
and the pirates
swing over boarding. A fight
quickly ensues
with 30 pirates against the 24 crew
alive.

The
merchant crew kill 4 pirates in the first attack. But
the pirates kill 6

more pirates.

Mournath fails to take one pirate as he dodges.

The
pirates run to the side and leap back to their
ship.
Whiskor yells to take the battle to them!
the unhurt crew
all charge the railing and leap
to the pirate ship

are killed as the
attack is taken to the pirate ship.

The
three pirates drop their swords and surrender.
The 10 merchant
sailors surround the pirates. Whiskor
would normally
give mercy. But the pirates killed 14
The
merchant ship is now down 2/3rds of its crew.
But the crew
ransack the pirate ship. Chests, rum
A
Climan pirate ship is seen trying to chase the ship.
The crew work the
sails as best they can. Climan
pirates tend to
have at least one witch with them so
would probably
kill the party. For almost 40 minutes
the Climans chase
the merchant ships. Whjskor then spots
a storm to the
left near the shore. He orders the ship
to the
storm. The shore should not be more than 2 miles
out but it is a
risk. Either handle the Climans with only
10 crew or risk
being beached.

The
ship enters the storm and begins to rock back and
forth. Then
the watch alerts the Climans have entered
the storm.
They must be using magic. Whiskor risks it
and turns the ship
around. As the ship moves toward the
shore the Climans
get closer and closer. But the blanket
of rain gives only
50-75 feet visibility. The
Climans figuring
the merchant ship is going east continues
in that
direction.

Making
a full half turn the merchant ship is now moving
west and exits the
storm into the darkness. All lights
are doused as
Whiskor orders the ship south into open
water.

For
almost 30 more minutes the merchant sails fast as
it can south. But

The
ship docks in Sivas. After two months the
crew is
tired. With 26 of the crew dead being
a sailor is indeed
a dangerous job.

Mournath goes to shore and gets a nice bath
and food for the
day.

Mournath practices his spear throwing skill either
on land or if he
gets a new ship. He collects
Mournath joins a new ship named the Blue Shell captained by
Osmoth. It

ship is heading up the river to deliver goods
Cholchara. Mournath is studying the river current
charts when he

It eyes the
navigator and cotinues to climb. It gets
on deck and
Mournath recognizes it as a mer man. It
raises his trident

crew and dives off
the ship back into the river.

Mournath and waves
his ship on. Not before he exchanges
[Time: 8:50

The
watch notices a single man on the shore. Based
on the amount of
blood on the ground he is dead. There
are signs of decay
as well. The captain opts not to
get the body and
just let the river patrol know.

[Time: 11:50
pm]

At a
small river town the ship is docked. The minimal
docks mostly
caters to fishing ships. But tonight the
merchant ship
anchors. Mournath is on deck star gazing
when he notices
white things in the distance shore up
river.
Peering closer he notices they look like horses.
All 4 are pure
white. One is rather large and the other
3 smaller so the
small herd must have 1 male (large) and
the 3 smaller
females. But these are all pure milk white.
It reminds
Mournath of that horse Arawn rode he called
it a fay
horse?

A
small craft is seen with a female in a green very
tight gown.
She seems to be dead. But when boarded
she is alive and
unconscious. The captain takes the
lady to his cabin
and places her in the bed. The crew
leave as he
inspects for wounds.

But
Mournath finds this very suspicious. When he
hears the captain
yell he rushes to the cabin. He
opens to find the
woman up and alive. She turns to
face Mournath and
he notices serpentine eyes. This
snake lady is no
human!

Mournath doesn't have his shield but still holds his
spear for
practice. He charges the female. He stabs
the female in the
stomach but the female slaps him to the
side against the
wall.

The
'woman' regenerates the wound and leaps toward
the captain.
She claws at his chest drawing blood. The
captain draws his
dagger but it fumbles out of his hands.

Mournath stabs the snake lady again in the back but
this wound
regenerates.

The
woman throws a large glass item at Mournath but
misses then turns
to the captain. She claws his arms
drawing more
blood.

Three
more sailors enter the cabin to help out.
One sailor wounds
her but it regenerates back.
The lady slashes
one of the sailors neck slicing
it open and he
falls down.

The
lady claws at another sailor but misses.

This
scene goes on as she is wounded but heals over
and over.
She wounds another sailor. Finally Mournath
stabs the lady in
the side doing 17 points of damage.
This finally kills
the snake lady and she does not
regenerate.

But in
the process 1 sailor is dead, Captain,
Mournath and
another sailor badly wounded. They
dump the body
overboard and get to healing.

[Time: 10:51
At a
small town the wounded sailor by the serpent
woman needs to be
healed by an infection. So Mournath
and the sailor
find a healer. Now walking back to the
docks and the
river ship they are attacked by goblins
in the tiny swamp
area. The two goblins attack but
the sailor is able
to kill both with help from Mournath.

At

he needs another navigator. He
says he is better

quietly Mournath
thinks the crew is superstitious and
figures Mournath a
jinx. Mournath parts company
and spends the
afternoon finding a new ship.

He
lucks out and finds a medium sized merchant
ship. The
captain uses a translator. "I am Rhias
of the Black
Depths. We could use your skills.
Welcome
aboard."

The
men and crew all speak in a language he has no idea
what it is
But there is a female that seems a bit nervous -
probably not a
boat person - who translates.

The
captain explains some rules, "the hold is off limits
to you. I've
had too many steal and only a couple crew and
myself can go
there. A hour before sunrise we need you in
the cabin.
We have...our prayers to do and prefer to do
them in
private. It will only take maybe 30 minutes. But
please do not exit
the cabin till then."

Mournath finds this a bit odd but the man is paying
a decent wage so
agrees.

[Marqi 19th,

The
Black Depths takes on a few crates. Mournath
watches as the
crates are taken to the hold. In
the late afternoon
Rhias tells Mournath to stay
and cleaning his
boots. But he can hear muffled
noises as well as
grunts in the hallway. But Mournath
does not open the
door. He needs the job.

about.

The

back that
night.
