OOC: First
official public post. Hi all :)
GM: Ack. Welcome to game you
did fine. I actually did not
get
the post myself. This is a issue wiht list it will
randomly not send posts. This is as GM I check the Archives
to
ensure I didn't miss posts. Pyan's posts when he does
them
often doesn't come to me. Go figure. Unsure why.
[New Stuff]

[Marqi Frisda
23rd, 1636TH; Sivas, Marentia]
[Time: 10:41
am]

Maelorna looks down at the man and 't hide the look of
disdain as his
usefulness as a pet or even a meal is at an end.
'See, the best of
intentions, now if the irritant will just
leave you be, we
can continue helping the ease the suffering of
all this food' the
voice teases. Maelorna closes her eyes '
Just shut up
please, we have enough trouble as it is without
you making it
worse, I promise, once we finish we'll go
hunting but for
now please,' she pleads with the voice. She
looks at Arawn and
sighs, he either didn't notice her or had
chosen to ignore
her.

As for the wolf, she does her best to ignore the canine, it
wasn't attacking
her from the shadows, growling, nor did it
have any friends,
at least at the moment she was safe from it.

The wolf growls a bit at Mae but doesn't pounce. Maybe it
smells the
love of cats on her and the dislike of dogs on
her an
djoins in?

[Time: 10:42
am]

When
the guards arrive Maelorna smiles at a few of them in
recognition, she
keeps her arms folded serenely over her silver
belt, not even
going close to her dagger or crossbow. She can't
help but note the
Captain and with a soft smile she turns to
face
him. She tilts her head letting some of her red hair
fall
over her face,
while her emerald green eyes take him in and she
gives him a
knowing smile, "I have yet to use this weapon other
than
practice," she offers honestly as she wonders how resilient
he might be as a
pet. He certainly was handsome enough '
Perhaps once we
finish helping the disgusting one, we might
see just how much
of a pet he might make little one,' the voice
giggles with
delight.

Mae doesn't
seem to recognize any of the guards as clients.
But then again most have
their own private brothels.

The captain
nods at Mae, "yes I know."

[Second deck]

Ix was
unable to discern the item until Mournath started
fidgeting with it.
When she realized what it was and its
function, she tightened
her grip on her cane, since she was too
late to stop it,
"We have just lost any chance at questioning our
dead captain..."
Being nudged by Fremea caught her atention and
she sighed, resigning to
the fact that there was nothing she
could do. She
couldn't bring the man's soul back. She does turn
to follow Fremea,
leaving Unali and Mournath in the captain's
quarters.

When Unali
hear the remark from Ix, she wonders what the she she
meant and at the first
opportunity will ask her "What was that
effect from the
Captain's case, you think?"

Upon
discovering the dwarves, she touches the fae's arm and
motions up to let her
know she was heading above deck. She
carefully makes her way
up the stairs and straight to the wolf,
ignoring the guards for
now. Gently stroking the wolf, he speaks
softly to it in her
native language, but it was a good guess on
anyone's part that she
was likely saying 'good boy'.

As the
guards escorted Z'leyra and Kiet back to the ship the
officer decides to back
track. First having jumped on a wagon
as a free ride he leaps
off. He heads back the way he just
came if the ship has
been taken over he can't afford to leave
witnesses.
His people would not allow failure of this level
and exposure. He
runs west and sees a city guardsman on his
horse riding his
way. Acting fast the officer ducks into a
spice shop. The
rider rides fast and doesn't see him which
is good for
him.

Soon the
officer ends up behind the warehouse to the docks.
This small alley is just
off the man avenue but is still
quiet. He climbs
the fire exit stairs to the roof the
crosses over to the
north side of the roof. He pulls out
his trusty hand held spy
glass from his pocket. He scans the
ship a few hundreds feet
to the north. He curses under his
breath as he sees the
city guards on board now.

The officer
spots dead sailors and his comrade of arms.
Whoever did this was
armed well. He notices the only one
to hold some form of
missiles weapon is that red head. She
is rather cute but needs
to die. Then the officer notices
the lone dwarf with
helmet and armor that has a tint of red
from this angle.
That must be the dwarf his men went to
obtain for volunteer
work for them. They must've failed and
assaulted the ship with
his strange assortment of friends.
Then he notices the
other dwarves. The ones they tricked to
work the mines then had
the gall to argue they didn't want to
stay in the
hold!

HE
notices guards going back and forth and some going down
into the lower
decks. Where is the captain? Surely he would
not escaped like a
coward?? Then he spots that arrogant
book reading miner
man. He never agreed to hiring the
man as a good whip
can do more motivation than some kind
words from their
so called friend. But the captain objected
and now he is the
only survivor it seems.

The
captain must've gotten rid of any trace of their
people. If
not this will go down bad. Then just before
lowering the spy
glass he notices the wolf and the small
girl. She escaped
too? The navigator argued against taking
her with the
dwarves in Ba'ru. But he himself argued that
in a cold mine the
guards will need some fun. He warned
to kill the wolf
out right but its red eyes were unusual and
the captain felt
he could sell it for coin where they were
planning to go
to.

The
officer puts down the glass and pulls the fancy
repeating crossbow
from his back. He clicks on the spy
glass for help
pinpointing targets onto the crossbow. Then
prepares the
magical bolts. Then aims it toward the
ship. Time
to take out some witnesses.

The
officer knows the only one main witness could be the
Captain but
without seeing him the second best target is
the annoying
man. He aims and fires. At this range which
is extreme for
most normal weapons - but not for a magical
one - the bolt
flies fast toward it targets. Then it
deviates and
changes course as the magical self guiding
bolts orient on
the victim.

The
bolt hits Raddok square on.

Then
the officer fires again this one aimed toward the
dwarf who must've
escaped their attack. The bolt impacts
right on his armor
and bounces off.

This
is when the ship goes into chaos when they discover
a new
threat.

Raddok
reaches up to his neck at the bolt that lodged into
his neck.
How could this be. The pain is intense. Did the
Fae return to
finish her mission? Raddok can feel blood
gushing out and
looks to Arawn and tries to speak.

The
third bolt flies toward Ix but at the last instant
the wolf leaps and
takes it into the side.

Arawn
rushes with bolts flying toward Raddok and yells to
Z'leyra for
help.

The
fourth bolt flies toward Dorhak but by now he has
ducked behind the
rigging. But the self guiding bolts
hit the dwarf in
the side doing 8 points of damage as
it hits.

The
last bolt zooms toward Arawn and hits him the
back doing 6
points as he reels in pain.

The
guards all ducked onto the deck and the Captain
spots the
shooter. "On the roof across street!
Sniper!"

Fremea
dashes up the steps and hears this and then removes
her dress then
flies toward the sniper.

Raddok
collapses to his knees as he sees spots in front of
his eyes.
Z'leyra quickly figures out the man has little
chance as the main
artery is severed. Maybe if she can do
a quick healing
spell and Arawn do a regeneration.

The
officer's eyes widen as he sees the fae flying toward
him. He
stands an runs back toward the stairs.

Ix
rushes to the wolf and notices it is bad off.

Dorhak
grunts and pulls the bolt out from his side
and places
pressure on his wound. At least it wasn't
deep for a
lung.

Z'leyra casts a spell as fast as she can and nods to
Arawn. Arawn
gets the hint and also tries a regeneration
spell to close the
neck.

Raddok
loses consciousness as he feels the magical healing
of the spell the
last thing ever.

Fremea
laughs at the man trying to make it to the stairs
but pulls her
dagger. She lands in front the man who also
pulls his
sword. The officer charges and Fremea sweeps the
man's left leg and
he falls. Then rolls to the side.

Raddok
begins to regain life and flutters his eyes as
he stares at
Z'leyra. He tries to ask what happened but
finds it
difficult.

"You are too late!" The officer laughs as he rolls
and avoids a
dagger bash to the head. Then charges quicklly
in one fluid
motion toward Fremea knocking her off her feet.
The man swipes his
sword but Fremea ducks once and then twice.

Fremea kicks the man back once knocking breath out of his
lungs.
Fremea kicks the man again and then didn't realize how
far to the
wall they were. The man falls over the side of
the 3 story
warehouse and lands onto the street shattering
his
head.

Fremea then turns to hit what sounds like a set of
distinctive
pops.

On the deck the bolt laced with magical naptha
explode.

The wolf's left side explodes gushing blood all over
Ix and
killing the wolf.

The bolt Dorhak pulled out saved his life on the ground
but explodes
near his leg and he takes another 6 points
of shrapnel
damage.

The other 2 explode and 3 dwarves take damage as well as
2 of
the city guards.

Finally at the same time the bolt that was removed from
Raddok
explodes just as Raddok sits up. The shrapentl
explodes right into his chest and face. Sadly a large
piece
pierces his left eye and into his brain.

The last thing Raddok learns is that he'll never see his
girl
again.

Arawn pales and feels sick. He sensed the magic. But
before
he
could've grabbed and tossed it away the bolt exploded and it
was
too late.

Update....Wednesday?

GM:
Wow. Ok. I'm ..so sorry Raddok. The chances
of you being hit were like 13%. He got lucky. Then
chance of a neck wound were like 2 out of 12. He got
lucky. Then you were saved but the shrapnel Then
the explosion I rolled very bad for you and it hit eyes
which was like 1 out of 30? I'm so sorry to do this.
But there is hope! The party does know a person - Cetric
who can resurrect folks. If you care to go that route?

Ix - The wolf may be saved if treated right way. But
chances are low. He did save your life.

This is indeed a sad update but sometimes the bad guys
luck out and pcs get bad luck. There is no death
there is just resurrection. Bess is this good?
