  No, can't be.  Barter is specifically listed under Economy in the Culture
  Book, so if it's not listed under Economy in Bhamotin, than they don't have it
  (TFIC).  Perhaps they have no economy at all, and their god Metatron (can't
  even afford a real god.  They have to settle for an archangel) provides them
  with all they want or need.
