From Ben'dar: [Re: Actions]
Seeing that his planned warning is too late, and the cabin is
already coming apart, he yells to Thig, "Where? Let's get her
out of here!"
He follows Thig into the room and will help retrieve the Green
Lady and get her out of the cabin as quickly as possible.
If he is able to help get her out of the cabin, he will go back
in to help anyone who is trapped or unconscious from falling
timbers (assuming he isn't...)

Strie'bog moves to a section of flooring, and tries to pry up
what looks like a trapdoor. "Chion, can you translocate her?
Can someone shield us? Bodyzar, run!" It is obvious that he
is not leaving, and once the trapdoor is up, is ready to attempt
a translocation himself, no matter the consequnce to himself.
GM: Ack.

Seeing how the situation unfolded Arawn simply shrugs and sighs.
Oh well, one way or another the situation was resolved. Suddenly
aware that Strie'bog is now racing to pry up the floor where his
mother appears to be hidden, Arawn holds his buckler above his
head as he uses his sword to help Strie'bog pry the trap door
loose.
If their combined efforts fail then Arawn will see if he has
the strength to cast either Open Locks (if it appears to be a
locked door) or Sonic Destruction to weaken and disintegrate
the floor.
GM: Ack.

Chion has it covered, if its a locked door, with the ring
he's wearing. That will wait a few seconds though...

Holding her buckler above her head Z'leyra joins those near
the trapdoor. She casts thru her staff all but the final
syllable of insubstantiability (EL sufficient to affect all
near her) so that if the roof falls she can complete the spell
and thereby save herself and those nearby.
GM: Ack.

[New Stuff]
[Decalis 16th, 107th day since left Marentia, 42nd day of
Adventure #3 of the 1633rd year [TH].]
[Location: Pavassa Forest - Eastern Edge/On Plains]
[Time - 10:09am]
GM: Log Fall Rules. I generated a map of what logs
are where and how many in each room. I then
made a basic percentage chance each would fall.
Increasing as spell strength increases. I then
rolled each phase for 6 phases to determine the
number of logs in each room that may or may not
fall. For each room I will then randomly determine
the position of that log first come first come
basis. So this will be a totally random process.
It won't be personal :)
Turn 4: Phase 2
[Mana Allocation] - None
[Missile Fire ] - None
[Magic Effect ] -
[Temperature jumps again in the cabin increasing by
about 5 degrees. Suddenly the last enemy who is frozen
by the Astral Web spell screams as he takes severe heat
damage.
Ben'dar's magical belt helps but not good enough. Ben'dar
suffers 5 points of heat damage as his skin sizzles.
Farseeker's magical belt helps as well but again not good
enough, he suffers blisters causing 5 more points of
damage. Strie'bog suffers minor heat damage of 1 point
as well. No on else suffers the heat damage spell.]
[As the heat spell gets hotter it melts the building
material faster and faster. Minor patches of tar, grass,
mud and sap turn to mush making the logs slippery and
shift in their positions. Just as the redhead had likely
planned?]
[Melee & Movement]-
[Boyzdar continues to paw at the floor and wipe away a
fine level of sawdust revealing boards that look different
from those around them. About 6 boards are not as dark
as the others. It was hidden by the almost 1/2 inch
thickness of sawdust to camouflage them. He begins to
whine as he knows he can smell something below.]
[Z'leyra moves toward the Wolf figuring something is below.
She eyes the ceiling and then raises her buckler as a make
shift shield from dropping objects.]
[Farseeker turns and sees #1 moving and shaking his arms
from the blisters. He knows he is the only enemy left.
But if that enemy knows how to kill Strie'bog's mother
then there is still danger here. He has no choice but
to pull up his greatsword and charge. He swings his
greatsword but fails to hit as the man dodges.]
[One log falls to the ground in the work room, falling to
the left of the door, the south end of the log falls down
the south wall in a 45 degree angle.]
[Outside Unali continues to frantically dig with the shovel
thinking something must be here like a hole or basement.
While the temperature just 3 feet from the wall is as cold
as can be, the wall itself must be radiating a temperature
40 degrees warmer?]
[Another log falls in the work room doing the same thing
as the one by the door falling at a 45 degree angle
sliding down the south wall, by the west end of the room.]
[Ben'dar realizes when the first log is heard to hit the
ground it may be too late to warn the others. When he
reaches Thig he hears Thig yell out and replies back.]
Ben'dar: "Where? Let's get her out of here!"
[He pushes Arawn aside turning the Elf around and charges
into the room to scan the scene. He still sees one enemy
left. He also sees the guard fighting Farseeker. He sees
no females other than Z'leyra so figure Strie'bog's mother
isn't found yet. He goes over to help Farseeker and with
a closed in space does a thrust with his pike. The simple
attack does only 3 points of damage but with the guard's
burn damage kills him instantly.]
[Ben'dar hears a crack overhead as a log falls down
directly above him and lands right on top of the now
dead body of the guard he just killed. Landing north
from its ceiling base at a 45 degree angle. It misses
Ben'dar by inches.]
[Chion senses something important is going on with the
wolf and Strie'bog is eyeing the area as well. He runs
north of the dead guard and toward the wolf's location.]
[Trembyl knows the house is about to collapse and has no
spells to help other than teleport. He also knows the
work room the party is in is small and compact, he would
only be in the way. He decides to head out of the cabin
to use Insubstantial if need be to return for help.]
[Another log falls to the south wall leaning at a 45 degree
angle from its roof position down the south wall.]
[Arawn spun around by Ben'dar eyes the situation. The
redhead is now down and assumed dead. He sees Strie'bog
and sighs. Strie'bog must've acted on his own which is
good it ended well. His recent mana detection has shown
the location the wolf is at must be important. He also
hears Thig behind him. With time going fast he rushes
into the room and raises his buckler to shield and to
help pry up the wooden planks.]
[Another log falls to the right of the work table and
slides down a 45 degree angle from its roof point down
the north wall.]
[Strie'bog knows carpentry and knows what his pal has
uncovered is not normal. He rushes to the wolf's side
and with his axe blade begins to pry up the boards as
fast as he can. All the while he tells others.]
Strie'bog: [To chion] "Can you translocate her out?
Can someone shield us? Bodyzar, run!"
[He also orders his pal to flee from the cabin to save
himself with a nod. He is able to get up two boards. He
finds the floor is not a trapdoor but just simple wood
flooring. He is glad to notice Z'leyra and Arawn above
holding bucklers but knows no matter what risk he will
get his mother out of here. Emotion clouds his decision
for self preservation. He just hopes there is no ward
on this floor area...]
[Another log falls to the north side of the room in the
south-west corner of the room where others have already
fallen.]
[Xian is torn between helping the others and fleeing. He
is hurt from the heat spell already and one log while it
would only bruise Farseeker would surely kill him. He
hopes others understand as he turns and heads to the door
preparing to heal others who may need it or a quick
teleport escape. He also knows his staff is not made
to pry up boards. He sighs as he leaves the cabin.]
[One full log falls directly from its roof position and
lands flat (no hanging down) on the table crushing the
candle and oil lantern.]
[Thig watches Strie'bog pry up the floors and ignores the
logs. He knows one log would surely kill him as well but
he continues to sense for magic as he replies to Ben'dar.]
Thig: "Where Strie'bog is! Under the floor...I sense no
other active minds."

Turn 4: Phase 3
[Mana Allocation] - None
[Z'leyra and Chion begin mana allocation for spells.]
[Missile Fire ] - None
[Magic Effect ] -
[The heat spell continues to affect the walls and ceiling.
Farseeker takes another 3 point blister series of heat
damage. The wolf's fur burns as the spell affects him
and he takes 1 point of damage.]
[Chion casts a Time Stop Spell and stops time in a 5 foot
radius around his hand. This means the roof section is
in stasis from falling logs. Suddenly the wolf is caught
in the spell as he lifts a leg and is frozen. But the
others around him are all resistant to the spell and are
not affected by the spell which is just as good.]
[Z'leyra reaches down with her staff and casts Insubstantial
on herself and the wolf which she notices at the last
second seems frozen.]
[Melee & Movement]-
[One log falls to the ground hanging at a 45 degree
angle as its north end stays on the roof and the
south end of the log on the ground. this one falling
near a previous one in the north east corner.]
[Z'leyra now insubstantial watches below as the others
pry up the floor boards. She remains contact with
her staff on the frozen wolf as she no longer raises
her shield to the ceiling as it would be ineffective.]
[Another log falls right to the left of the one that
just fell. this time the north end slides down the
north wall and hangs down as its south end remains
on the roof slats.]
[Another log falls to the ground sliding down the south
wall at a 45 degree angle with the north end of the log
on the roof. This log is in the lower south east corner
of the room.]
[Farseeker turns and heads toward Strie'bog. With
a kneeling position he uses his greatsword as one
big leverage piece and helps to pry up the last of
the boards but just one left.]
[Another log falls in the north west corner of the room
to the left of the table sliding south at a 45 degree
angle with its north end still hanging on the roof.]
[Another log falls in the south west corner this one
falling north with south end up in the roof. This
one almost hitting Arawn but by a foot misses.]
[Outside Unali hears crashes and wonders what is going
on. She continues to dig the dirt area.]
[Ben'dar turns and heads toward the others to peer down
into the dark hole ready to help out.]
[Another log falls in the north section of the room
as its south end hits the chair by the table shattering
it into pieces all over the place as it dangles toward
the south as its north end of the log stays on the roof.]
[Chion holds his position for the time spell to protect
from falling logs. So far only one has come close the
one that almost hit Arawn but its just out of his
spell's 5 foot radius. It should protect the hole
the others are uncovering for sure.]
[Another log crashes through its support frame and lands
where Z'leyra was just seconds ago to the right of
the shelf near the west wall. It lands flat on the
ground a large thick log.]
[Trembyl exits the Cabin and turns around to prepare
casting spells of Insubstantial and teleport if required.]
[Arawn leans down and with one hand and help from Farseeker
prys up the last of the 6 boards which seem to make up
a hole in the ground. He continues to raise his shield
for falling logs not knowing a time stop spell is active.]
[Strie'bog sees the last plank lifted and waits as the
dust and sawdust falls and stops his view into the
darkness below. It seems to take forever for the
falling dust to finally clear up. With one log falling
just about 5 feet away a ray of light shines in and
gives the hole some light. He leans in and gazes
below. As the dust clears and his eyes adjust to the
new darkness he loses his breath. Below the floor
just 2 feet lying in a literal hole is his mother.
She is still dressed in a gossamer green gown and seems
to be either dead or asleep or knocked out? She
is lying with her head to the north and her short 5
foot something body with legs to the door. Just 2
feet below the ground not in a basement but in a hole
probably 6 cubic feet or something? There is no light.
He reaches down toward his mom but as he does his breath
is lost again as he notices something on her. He stops
his hands and concentrates on the sight. A large brown.
No black and red object. No. Spider! A large hand
sized spider is sitting on his mom's neck. Based on
the colors and what the redhead said "one word and she
is dead" this one must be a fast acting poisonous spider.
Likely a pet? If that other female had a crow could this
one have a spider pet? Strie'bog stares and notices the
spider is not moving. He lowers his axe blade just
an inch. Still nothing. He glances up at Chion. Could
the spider be frozen in the spell his pal is? If so
the spider could be harmless?]
[Xian joins Trembyl outside and both look at each other.
Xian sighs as he knows he could be better use inside
but he hopes the others understand his delicate situation.
[Thig kneels down and with his more keen eyes stares at
the sight of Strie'bog's mother. He seems to miss
or ignore the spider. He concentrates and then
says to those around.]
Thig: "She is under some spell. A sleep spell of
some sort."
[The party knows Thig might recognize such spells as
Caladan used them in the past including one for
Cholan when his hand was damaged badly.]
Actions? Comments?

the logs. But I figure the party might not be in the

GM: $ Area is the hole where mother is. It is 2.5 feet deep.
Her legs are folded in the 4x4 rough area. This area
is the F24/25 and G24/G25 area. Looking at the scale
Ben'dar, Arawn, Thig are not protected by the Time stop
roof protection. Though if part of the log is in that
stasis field you are protected. Below shows where the
logs are currently down. There are 14 logs (1 fully)
the rest are half dangling down. At this point that's
about 30% of the roof in this room down. So far the
party has been lucky no to have been hit. So far.

GM: This only shows the Work Room. I've not generated the map for
main large room yet. Will do this weekend. Its not that
important yet as one can likely dodge the logs to get to
the door. For the above map you'll have to super impose
this map on the one above. Couldn't combine due to space
but it should be easy to figure out. I hope. :)
Logs on rows A and G are leaning north with south end on
the roof. Rows B, C and H are leaning on the south
walls with north end of the log still on the ceiling.
Log at A22, A23, A24 is full flat down. As well
as the one at D18, D19.
GM: Final Comments -
Sorry for delay. I had hoped to have this out Wednesday
since got actions from everyone but Z'leyra (which turned
out there were some but I never got them from the list?).
But it wasn't till Thursday when I worked on it and
got delayed. Oh well. New schedule and all. So its
late. But for monday I'll work on the next update
Monday night at 10pm EST. I'll be up late that night
so can finish it. Let me know what to do now. It
may not take everyone to get her out. If you flee
the cabin via a door or go through the wall let me
know. The wall may be down by then. :) I've not
rolled for Wall damage yet. Strie'bog can tell she
is breathing so not dead as her chest heaves but
seems to be unconscious. Keep in mind Heat spell
is still active. It can hurt!
