Admin notes: To clarify the armor thing last update. I meant
all that in terms of sleeping in armor not wearing during normal
activities of course.

From Ben'dar: [Re: Actions]
Ben'Dar will finish off the goblins around him, starting
with the armored one. If he sees someone in trouble (ie
getting mauled by the lion), he'll break off from the goblins
and help out. If the fight ends and any enemies are running
away, he'll mount Tef'wo and chase them down.
OOC: Ben'Dar's not too worried about breaking his pike, as
long as he's breaking his enemies in the process... Is
there any way to repair weapons & armor?
OOC: Ben'Dar will claim the gems found on the men at
Strie'bog's home, if nobody else wants them. He will use the
two good gems to mount in the eye sockets of his wolf headdress.
GM: Ack. Yes repair can be done with supplies and time.

Unali will first deal with the remaining goblin that is
attacking her. Hopefully that takes a single phase and she
can turn in time to stop the attack of the desert lion.
Now she has learned forest survival at a starting level, she
will switch to learning horsemanship again, with acrobat as
second choice if HMS is not possible for some reason.
GM: Ack.

Z'leyra sees the armored goblin fighting Ben'Dar and believes
Ben'Dar capable of winning that fight. If she was aware of
Chion's wound she would likely go to help him, but as she
isn't aware of it she will try and deal with the lion.
Not sure whether it is a regular lion or (more likely) a
Waste Lion (Kotothi) and also unsure whether it was going
to attack the party or the goblins she will run up behind
it (so as not to be between the party and the lion while
invisible) and strike to subdue using her staff.
After it is subdued we can find out more about it. She
would feel bad if the party killed a regular lion that was
merely hunting goblins or a lion Tonah trying to assist the
party. If it is a Kotothi Waste Lion..., well it can die later.
After subduing the lion she will assist in other combat and
try to help patch and heal folks.
GM: Ack.

Chion, failing to see any other way just as yet will say to
Trembyl, "Well, looks like we need to use some healing magic
here. I'll see what I can do." And cast healing on him at
whatever el he has. After he casts the healing he will check
his Trembyl' status again and if still being fired upon will
cast insubstantial on himself and Trembyl.
GM: Ack.

[New Stuff]
[Decalis 15th, 106th day since left Marentia, 41st day of
Adventure #3 of the 1633rd year [TH].]
[Location: Pavassa Forest]
[Time: Around 3:58am.]
Turn 2: Phase 1
[Mana Allocation]
[Strie'bog allocates mana for healing.]
[Chion allocates mana for a healing spell.]
[Missile Fire]
[Thig aims at the goblins but finds them near others
and to dangerous to fire. He hovers and shifts in
place to aim his repeating crossbow at the Lion
and fires. The dart hits the lion in the back
and penetrates his hide but the lion continues to
move from the damage.]
[Suddenly another arrow hits inches from Trembyl
into the ground missing both Chion and Trembyl
by a foot.]
[Magic Effect]
[Chion casts the healing magic onto Trembyl. He
speaks the words while laying hand on his chest
releasing the healing magic into Trembyl. The
green energy surrounds the arrowhead and heals
the wound to half. Healing 9 points. But the
arrow is still in Trembyl's chest and the healing
tightens around the arrowhead.]
GM: If knew Healer would've known to remove the arrow
from chest first. But there is no time for it
in this battle situation.
[Strie'bog while watching the lion places a hand on
Boyzdar and speaks the healing words. As he completes
the words suddenly he tenses and his eyes roll back
into his head and he collapses to the ground.]
[Melee & Movement]
[Corona flying overhead sees movement in the bushes and
tries to determine what it is but the darkness eludes
any visual determination at this point.]
[Z'leyra runs the 10 feet toward the Lion and gets
behind him. She swings her staff down onto his back
but the staff misses by a few inches.]
[Thig sees Strie'bog suddenly fall.]
Thig: "Strie'bog's down!"
[Farseeker turns hearing Thig and rushes from the area
of the horses to Strie'bog. He kneels and checks
Strie'bog and finds a pulse.]
Farseeker: "He's alive!"
[Suddenly from various sides of the camp from bushes
low to the ground dozens and dozens of frogs and
toads leap and squish out and head straight for
the camp and party.]
[From bushes at G24 9 frogs and toads jump out and
start leaping and jumping straight for Chion and
Trembyl. All 9 seem to jump onto or land near
Trembyl. Chion on his knees is able to fend them
off with his staff but Trembyl isn't. Eight of
the frogs and toads do nothing as they hop around
him. But one hits the arrow in his chest and shifts
it further ripping the wound even further doing 6
more points. Trembyl gives a yelp of pain and
surprise.]
[From the bushes at I32 8 frogs and toads leap out
and head south west toward the tents and get
between the area between 2 tents.]
GM: See Map info
[From the bushes around the horses 7 frogs and
large toads jump about scaring the horses.]
[From the bushes at S30 9 more frogs and toads
leap out and jump north west toward Strie'bog
and the wolf.]
[From the bushes at T35 9 more frogs head north
straight for the center of the camp.]
[From bushes T12 6 more frogs head north East
toward the camp.]
[From the tree in the west 5 frogs and toads
leap east toward the camp.]
[From the bushes at H24 6 frogs and toads leap
out and head SE toward the camp.]
GM: Too many small objects for map so giving
general location on map below.
[Unali swings both daggers on goblin #7 (g) the
magical dagger does not hit but her regular does.
But the blow to the chest is light doing only 5
points of damage. The goblin still stands.]
[Ben'dar swings his pike on the armored goblin and
hits in the arm doing 3 points of damage past his
armor but the goblin remains up.]
[The armored goblin fights back thrusting his spear
at Ben'dar but fails to hit.]
[Trembyl grimaces in pain as he looks around at the
flying horde of squishy frogs and toads in confusion.]
[Chion uses his staff to move the frogs away from both
of them and sees other frogs to the right of them.]
[The horses begin to use their feet to stomp the frogs
as best they can.]
[Royzdar sees Strie'bog fall to the ground and limps to
him sniffing and making a pouting noise. He nudges
Strie'bog with his nose and seeing no response looks
worried. Injured himself he places his head onto the
chest of Strie'bog in confusion.]
[Arawn looks out the tent. His magic against the lion
is too far and out of reach now. He grabs his sword
and buckler and heads out the tent toward Trembyl.
Using both sword and buckler he pushes the frogs and
toads away from between the tents. When he gets to
Trembyl he kneels and checks him out.]
[The lion heads straight for Unali and leaps at her.
The lion bites down on her left shoulder doing 3
points past her chainmail with his teeth. The
lion's claws scratch Unali's right arm doing another
2 points past chainmail. The magical dagger gave
her a hint of warning but not enough time to react.
Unali is knocked down to the ground by the heavy
beast.]
[Goblin #7 (g) grunts in glee and raises his spear
straight at Unali and with a forceful down strike
impales Unali in her right shoulder doing 6 points
to her shoulder.]
[Goblin #9 (I) thrusts at Ben'dar but fails to hit.]
[Unali sees the Lion attack Unali and charges with
his war staff. He tries to hit the lion but it
moves just in time and he misses.]
Turn 2: Phase 2
[Mana Allocation] - None
[Missile Fire]
[Thig aims but has no good target without possible
hitting others. He could fire on many of the
frogs/toads but they are too fast moving targets.]
[Suddenly another arrow from what seems like a different
location comes and hits Trembyl in the chest. This
arrow impacts just below his heart in the ribs to
the right of the first arrow and does 5 points of
more damage to him.]
[Magic Effect] - None
[Melee & Movement]
[Corona flies and dives straight for the western
camp edge frogs and zaps one to death with his
magical eyes.]
[Z'leyra moves straight for the Lion. She bumps
up against Xian and almost trips. She saw
Strie'bog on the ground but not being mauled by the
lion so headed for the lion. She swings with her
staff and misses again!]
[Farseeker leaps over Strie'bog and moves past the
campfire toward the lion. He swings down his
great sword and hits doing 8 points of damage to
it but its still standing.]
[The dozens of frogs and toads all move toward the
camp. Jumping all about they hit people but
since they are squishy do no damage. They seem
to distract and confuse the party as the swarm
moves about Ben'dar, Farseeker, Xian, z'leyra, Unali
and Strie'bog.]
[Unali uses one dagger to defend herself against the
large paws of the lion and uses the magical dagger
to stab the lion in the side and hits doing the
final blow to kill the lion. But unfournately the
beast falls right on her and pins her down.]
[Ben'dar swings his pike at the Elite goblin and
hits doing 6 points of damage killing the goblin.
He sees the lion fall dead so didn't go help Unali.]
[Trembyl grimaces some more and wonders why him?]
[Chion tells Arawn he has already healed Trembyl.]
[Arawn nods and lifts the edge of the tent at L24
up and slides in. Turning he pulls Trembyl inside
into safety from view outside.]
[Goblin #9 (i) clubs Ben'dar but fails to hit him at all.]
[Goblin #7 (g) tries to stab Unali again with his spear
but misses when the spear hits between her body and arm.]
[Xian turns to #7 goblin (g) and swings his war staff.
He hits him in the shoulder doing 6 points of damage
killing the goblin.]
Actions? Comments?
Next update Friday....
GM: There are over 60 frogs and toads now in camp jumping
and thrashing about. Too many of them to note their
distinct positions. None harmed anyone on the second
phase. They could get a lucky hit and hit the head and
cause some damage unless a helm is worn. Maybe a neck
hit to do some minor damage. So I won't list every position
of them. They seem to be just confusing the party as to
why they are there. They are 2 hexes around the campfire
in all directions. They are also hitting tents can may
cause them to fall soon.
GM: There is only 1 Goblin alive. The lion and all other
goblins are dead. But the frogs and toads are here now
to deal with. A new surprise :)
