[Recap]
From Ben'dar: [Re: Actions]
OOC: Have a nice cruise Scott. I'm jealous!
Ben'Dar nods thoughtfully at the beggars' words. "What
vendor? What was he selling and what did he look like?" he
growls at them impatiently. He is obviously getting irritated
with so many words and not enough action. If they give a
description, he'll glance out the door in both directions
down the street to see if he sees anyone of that description
lingering in the area. If not, he shrugs and assumes that
the man is long gone.
"Hmmph," Ben'Dar grunts as the gaurd leads the battered
messenger boy away. The boy doesn't seem to be involved with
the assassin's plot. Ben'Dar thinks that it will be
interesting to see what message for Chion he has been whining
about...
Ben'Dar listens to Micah's words skeptically. He doesn't
trust this man who just happened to appear at the instant
after the attack. But he sees that Unali seems to know him,
and that's good enough. He turns his attention elsewhere.
The fun seems to be over all too quickly, so Ben'Dar picks up a
half-empty mug of ale from the floor and slouches into a chair,
to watch the confrontation between the big man who called himself
"Raban" and the loud little noble. Ben'Dar raises his eyebrows
at the accuser's bold words and looks expectantly for the huge
man to batter him into unconsciousness again.
GM: Ack. Family cruise. We'll see how fun it'll be :) Thanks.

From Raban: [Re: Actions]
Raban grins at Unali's dismissing his offer, "I always watch my
own back, but I assure you, watching your's would be far more
pleasant. It is not in my nature to let any women be hurt if I
can prevent it."
Accused once more Raban sighs and says to Baron Gilon, "I do not
recall having done anything in Malnon like you suggest occurred.
So perhaps you can describe the event and also add how you found
me here when you did. It may very well be you and I are both
victims of slander by some associate of the assassin that was
here. We appear to have been used as a diversion for the
assassin's attack."
And then he continues in a much colder voice, "I try hard to
avoid unpleasantness, but I must answer your threat in kind. You
know nothing about me, nor what I can do and I assure you, you
do not want me as an enemy. "
Smiling he adds, "So lets work this out calmly before anyone
does something they will regret."
GM: Ack.

From Fremea: [Re: Actions]
Fremea catches herself quickly after the initial shock of her
spell not working and quickly uses her reflexes and training
in hand to hand to disable the assassin's arm choking her by
numbing it and causing it to release - and possibly kicking
him the right spots (as he probably is wearing some kind of
protection on his groin, to make him go to his knees). When
she is able to get his hand off her, she will grab something
next to her that seems heavy enough (or use her dagger, which
ever is easiest) and smack the assassin upside the head to
knock him out. She has lots of questions for him and he is not
going to get away or die.
GM: Ack.
--------------------
From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
Still leaning over Unali Arawn looks her over carefully. The
poison's effect has been halted but her near death experience
appears to have taken a toll. Unaware of Z'leyra's distraction
Arawn leans asks Unali,
"The poison has been purged but your life force seems weak, not
surprising considering how close you were to the lands of Annwfn.
I can strengthen your weakened spirit if you will let me?"
If Unali accepts his aid he will cast Energy (priest) on her
until she seems strong once again.
In the meanwhile if Z'leyra or Chion alert Arawn to Chion's
plight he will take a break from assisting Unali (assuming that
she accepts the offer) and move casually to a private room to
begin treating Chion with Negate Poison at max EL.
Just in case anyone is wondering about the comment in regards
to Annwfn, it's the celtic/welsh land of the dead. I thought it
an appropriate name for the sidh's land of the dead unless their
is another name for it already in PnP.
GM: Ack. Will have to wait for Unali's reply.
--------------------
From Chion: [Re: Watching Arawn]
And Chion will pay attention to how the spell is cast....
GM: Ack. Man huge post. :) Could've used more detail. :)
--------------------
From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions]
If Chion shows up Z'leyra will offer the potion to him, but
will allow Arawn to cast his Negate Poison spell first unless
Chion is near death from the poison. Afterwards she will put
away the Bezoar and goblet then stand with her back to a wall
and observe.
GM: Ack.

[New Stuff]
[Marqi 29, 1633TH. 1st Day of Adventure #4.
Location: Sivas, Marentia, Green Eye Tavern.
[Time: 8:20am]
[Location: Sivas City, Green Eye Tavern]
[Time: About 2 minutes before current scene.]
[Ben'dar continues to question the beggars who seem to be
intimidated but also curious of the whole situation.]
Ben'dar: "What vendor? What was he selling and what did
he look like?"
Beggar: "Selling oil and candles I think. Don't know your
average guy."
[Ben'dar slams both hands down on the table growling and making
the beggars jump almost right out of their clothes.]
Beggar: "He works the east district I think." [He looks to
another beggar who nods] "Cheap guy never gives any free
candles. Black hair about 5 foot 8 or so? Can't be that
many selling that stuff on the streets. He's well over
4-5 blocks east of here."
Guard Commander [Future Micah]: "Its a typical plan. A
thief or assassin will pay some unsuspecting person to
do a delivery of a message or job or for simple distraction.
If the assassin paid the vendor all you'd find out likely
is just that. Typical street moves. Even some guards us
a third person to learn information. Even merchants will
use a third person to learn of prospective clients. I
think these guys are just distracters. Unless you have
more questions I suggest they moved to the back with the
others so we can talk further?"
[At the same time Raban replies to Unali's comments with
a grin and twinkle in his eye.]
Raban: "I always watch my own back, but I assure you, watching
yours would be far more pleasant. It is not in my nature to
let any women be hurt if I can prevent it."
[Moments after that when the messenger boy is escorted to
the back...]
Ben'dar: "Hmmph,"
[Ben'dar grunts to the back of the messenger resigned to the
fact that the messenger seems to not be involved with the
assassin. He looks around the bar wondering who else could
be involved?]
[Later...]
[Ben'dar slumps into a chair and watches Raban and the Noble
argue while taking a half mug of ale and slurping it down.
He eyes the ale wondering why he is drinking barely
when the day has started. This must be how those hardened
warriors and military guys seem to end up drunks after
a few campaigns?]
[The tiny noble huffs and puffs under the shadow of Raban
and stares with boiling eyes. Raban sighs and replies.]
Raban: "I do not recall having done anything in Malnon like you
suggest occurred. So perhaps you can describe the event and
also add how you found me here when you did. It may very well
be you and I are both victims of slander by some associate of
the assassin that was here. We appear to have been used as a
diversion for the assassin's attack."
[And then he continues in a much colder voice, "I try hard to
avoid unpleasantness, but I must answer your threat in kind.
You know nothing about me, nor what I can do and I assure you,
you do not want me as an enemy. "
[Smiling he adds,] "So lets work this out calmly before anyone
does something they will regret."
Baron: "You as an enemy! You don't know who your dealing with!
My sister is the wife to the Royal Tailor and I can speak
for the King on--" [Micah clears his throat] "..I am a powerful
man in this province!" [Micah clears his throat again.]
"You obviously slept with my --" [Micah clears his throat
and taps the baron on the shoulder.]
[The baron twirls around in a huff.]
Baron: "What!?"
[Micah leans in and whispers quietly to the baron for about
5 seconds. The baron's eyes widen then shrink to points and
he frowns. The baron whispers back but only Raban can hear it.]
Raban: "How do you know?"
Micah: "A bird told me."
[The Baron clears his throat and looks at Micah then turns back
around to Raban. Then he turns to look over the tavern for
the first time realizing what is going on. He grabs his
silk shirt collar and pulls it up as if cold.]
Baron: "I don't know about this assassin business your talking
about did you try to kill me?" [Micah clears his throat.]
"Of course not. Well maybe I was...ahh...mistaken. I
think I'll go sit over there...I could use some wine."
[Raban and Ben'dar raise eyebrows. Micah leans into Raban
and speaks quietly.]
Micah: "Knowledge is power. I recall his name from some
...business contacts...he won't be bothering you again.
But I suspect you take his words carefully and leave the
city for a few days at least let things cool down.
He has many other friends I may not know of or have
information to broker with." [He winks at Raban and
turns back to speak to the others.]
[At the same time Arawn inspects Unali drinking and trying
to recover her breath. Her face is drawn and sunken a bit
from quick acting exhaustion. A sign of energy depletion
from poison which is common.]
Arawn: "The poison has been purged but your life force seems
weak, not surprising considering how close you were to the
lands of Annwfn. I can strengthen your weakened spirit if
you will let me?"
Actions? Comments?
Next Update...Monday...
GM: Ok. With some of the last minute posts I ran out of time
for this update. But here is a tiny one. I do need
to clarify a situation before Monday's update.
Chion will tap Z'leyra showing he is there and sign that
he needs a cure. Arawn doesn't know sign language. So
will assume Z'leyra will ask Arawn? Z'leyra still need
to know what you sign back to Chion with what kind of
reply. Arawn will then cast the spell on Chion but since
Micah will not allow anyone upstairs it'll have to be
done there in the tavern. If that's a bad option then
Z'leyra will have to do the potion and deliver it.
Chion if you wish to clarify the situation on how to
get their attention you can.
As for Fremea will deal with that combat monday when
have more time. Will actually write it up later this
weekend.
GM: Updated the People link on the gamesite with some info.
GM: Small update but better than nothing :<
