[Recap]
From Raban: [Re: Actions]
<Metal man was heavy! And hits hard too, ouch! Raban needs a
visit to a hot springs and a good massage.>
Seeing that the metal man is broken, Raban looks about to see what
else he needs to do. It finally gets to him that his friend Kiet
is down and needs healing? Not sure why others have not done so
he moves over to offer aid.
Raban: "For your aid to these fair ladies, I pray to Miryan to
aid you in return, may you heal quickly of the wounds taken on
their behalf."
<Healing El3, repeat if fails>
<I assume at a glance it is apparent that there is no time to
use other skills to boost healing>
<Raban can heal too, looks like people forgot that?>
<Once it becomes clear Z'leyra is out of mana. If it is known
before the healing is cast Raban could switch to Enl to cast the
healing.> Raban(to Z'leyra) "I know there are spells to transfer
mana. If you have a means to do so, I will donate whatever you
need since I use mine rarely." <pretty sure he has some to spare,
though likely not lots by others standards.>
<Raban should heal himself sometime too. I think he is down a
few times what Kiet took? I really should keep track.>
<oops forgot to offer other healing>
Raban looks at the others and sees though not life threatening,
many are badly injured.
Raban (to all): "I can heal all those that wish it, as there are
none here my Goddess would refuse. I have a limited supply of oils
which I can apply to increase the effectiveness of the magic as
well, though my training in their use was predominately for
treatment of women."
<Raban will try healing himself after all others have gotten what
they need. He would be fine in a few days anyway. Its times like
this that having appearance higher than constitution bites you.>
GM: Ack. He is heavy but with your arm it could've broke and not
sure you wanted to risk that. A direct lift and shove was
probably the best option.
----------------------------
From Fremea: [Re: Actions]
Fremea will gather healing energy around her, speaking in sidh,
to heal Kiet.
ooc- forgot to mention, max EL for Healing spell.
Fremea will cast the healing spell, hoping that a kindred spirit
will survive. Though she has not gotten to know him well, Kiet
seems to be a good human, just looking out for himself. Once she
is done healing Kiet, Fremea will start to look for Chion. Using
all her senses.
GM: Ack.
----------------------------
From Ben'dar: [Re: Actions]
Not sure, but multiple healing spells might kill Kiet?
Carefully...
Ben'Dar growls, looking around the destroyed room for more
targets. Seeing none, he moves around the room, peering in all
the openings / doors and listening for any sounds of
reinforcements. He has not taken serious injuries, so he stays
on gaurd duty while the healing and bandaging work takes place.
He makes his way over to the doorway through which the party
entered this room, and glances outside, looking for Chion. If
he sees no one, he hisses, "Chion, are you out there?" He will
venture back the way the party came, not going too far, but
trying to locate Chion to make sure he is alright.
GM: Ack.
----------------------------
From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions]
Z'leyra makes room for others to try their healing spells on Kiet
as she continues patching his wound. She will make sure that no
further healing spells are cast on him after the first succeeds
(she doesn't want to stress his body to death). After he is healed
she will patch each person that needs healing (though she will
make sure enemies that get patched also are stripped of weapons
and well tied). Hopefully those that cast healing (if necessary)
will do so after she has used her healing skills. After healing
folks Z'leyra will patch herself, eat some food then try to rest
till the next day.
Z'leyra states "Just as muscles get exhausted from lifting too
much weight so have I gotten my ability to cast spells exhausted
for the day. I should be fine tomorrow. To cast that fire dart I
did burn some of my spirit, but that should recover in a week or
so. We should bind our enemies and rest here till the morrow."
Z'leyra will refuse magical healing for herself, though only a
small chance it would kill her, if that chance happened the party
would lose her services. Hopefully she will make her healing
chance in the morning and be able to heal herself magically
tomorrow and get another healing chance with that days magical
healing.
Z'leyra ponders making a TimeStopped box or something to hold
certain NMIs in. Mixing and drying a healing potion from Unicorn
Horn takes too long to use in an emergency situation. With such a
box a potion could be prepared ahead of time yet not lose its
potency in the usual one hour.
After she realizes that she killed the man that had stopped the
spell that had been killing her, Z'leyra goes to his corpse,
kneels and bows quietly saying "I apologize. I am sorry. I did
not realize that you had dispelled the spell and I was intent on
doing what I could before I died. I wish you a good journey in
the afterlife." She then meditates for some hours.
If Corona arrives she will welcome him. She also recovers her
staff.
GM: Ack. Corona return? He's outside. Didn't know you wanted
him inside.
----------------------------
From Raban: [Re: reply to Z'leyra]
Raban (to Z'leyra) "I understand, there are risks with too much
magical healing, even I am not safe to do so. I do have magic to
help you replenish your spirit as well as more Angelica."
GM: Ack.
----------------------------
From Raban: [Re: Actions]
<Ooo thats a problem, almost everyone has had some healing
already. So we can save Kiet by magic and still kill him. Unless
there are other means to save him that dont count for that limit?
Boosting Stats enough could work, already has a Jade thats +5 HP.
Raban could boost his Con for another +2HP. There are spells that
can transfer HP which should not count as healing? It comes down
to what counts for that healing limit, are there any spell
exceptions? Is there non magical healing other than daily?>
<Treasure is of little use to Raban, size is usually way off. He
could use parts of other leather to fix his, maybe. Otherwise just
a share of 'cash'>
GM: Ack. The limit applies to anything that gives additional hit
points. Healing, Regeneration, Healing Hand, Healing Mist and
much more. I don't recall any other spells that break this
limit. Personally I find this rule much better than a certain
dungeon game. In that game you had folks healing folks 40-50
times a day it seems. Poof your healed. Bah. This adds risk to
the game. With strength though the risk is very little.
Farseeker for example could take 7-8 healings before he even
had to worry. :) Healing skill doesn't count. Here is something
to consider and debate maybe in the main pnp list. Does Natural
magical items that heal count? Since if I recall the rules say
"magical healing power". Power could imply magic and/or an
item. It could be debated and I'm sure we could discuss it in
that list.
----------------------------
From Kiet: [Re: Actions]
I don't know which is better or what...so I rolled a die and Raban
'won'. If he would be so kind as to try and save my pitiful life.
Kiet is willing to take the healing chance...
"Elven Plate Armour is exceptionally rare. In fact, I have
never heard of it being used except for Kings. Chainmail is
pretty common amongst them, but Plate? That item alone should
bring hundreds of GC's...maybe over 1000."
"Maybe Arawn should take it?"
One of the guards had chainmail. I would be more than happy
to relieve his corpse of this.
Are any of the guards alive at this point? I think I might
want to interrogate any that are, after the healing treatment.
Also, I would like to evaluate the ruby necklace for value.
GM: Ack.
----------------------------
From Fremea: [Re: Actions]
Fremea will take a look at the differenet bags of powders.
Otherwise, since there is nothing else she could use, including
the armor, she will leave the money to be divided up amongst
everyone. She will also search out any other hiding spots.
Obviously Akir'l had some hidden buttons, maybe there are more.
(This will of course be after she looks for Chion)
GM: Ack.
----------------------------
From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions]
Z'leyra leaves the questioning of the prisoners to the rest of
the party though she will loan the Tongues Necklace out.
While she doesn't want any of the magical or elven armor or swords
for herself she would like future access to the elven armor
(particularly the plate) and swords to study since she is an
armorer and weaponsmith herself. [If any volunteer to teach her
how to make elven alloys she will happily accept. She will take
A'kril's fighting daggers.
Other magic items will depend on what they are. Usually Z'leyra
prefers to make what she can make herself, but she may want items
that she can't make for herself.
As far as impressing others the party meets it does make sense
to have Arawn wear the elven plate since he is an Alfar. Also it
would help keep him alive. She suggests that he take a helmet
along with it.
Z'leyra will examine the ruby necklace and if no one in the
party wants it will offer to handle its sale since as a (hopefully
respected) jeweler she could likely get a fair price for it.
For that matter she could handle much of the sales for the armor
and weaponry not kept by party members.
GM: Ack. Sadly necklace used once today already. :<
----------------------------
From John Haight: [Re: Actions]
Since I'm technically still paralyzed should I post clean-up
actions/ treasure inquiries/ rest and discussion actions yet?
GM: Ack. We settled this in ICQ. But yeah you can post some
possible "future" things.
----------------------------
From Raban: [Re: Actions]
<Ouch we did have a casualty after all, and hopefully not more.
Kiet asked for a heal, I dont know if there is time for and
healing aids to be applied? Raban already has a posted action
for the spell, I guess its valid to use now. Raban has power to
spare right now. He can cast Spirit Blessing for those down
spirit, that should not count as healing? Healing for those who
can risk it. And possibly Bless. Raban will cast a heal on himself
after he is done with any other magic. So if people need anything
ask.>
GM: Ack. Spirit Blessing heals energy so no. It doesn't affect the
magical healing. Energy/lifeforce is different from physical
healing. Physical healings affect body systems. Technically
energy heals affect mind and spirit only. In some way a GM
could come up with a rule for that as well to limit enerfgy
heals. Something like Will instead of Con as a basis. In
that the mind or soul/spirit can only take so much. But for
now I have no such rule in affect. Maybe later? :)
----------------------------
From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
Once the paralysis has faded away Arawn will pick himself up off
the floor and make his way toward A'kril's remains. Seeing Z'leyra
praying on behalf of the fallen mage he knelt beside her. He
prayed for the man in the Sidh tongue, adding the other fallen to
his prayers as well, before looking for a container to gather the
mage's ashes into. He will do the same for the dark elf's ashes
as well. When this is done he joined the others, a myriad of
thoughts racing through his head.
"This turn of events was unfortunate and saddens me, for them and
for us. I think A'kril may have been bound here as a caretaker of
sorts and he has finally been released. Unfortunately those that
he might have been guarding could be freed as well.
The dark elves are unknown to me, though I have ideas, but it is
clear that they hold a burning hatred of the Sidh for things in
the ancient past. I will have to commune on this and a few other
things before I care venture other ideas. From what the dark elf
told me, this was not their home, they come from over the seas.
They had their own agenda separate from A'kril, the details I
have yet to fully discover. Though these have moved on others
might yet be lurking about."
He looked at the dark elven remains intently. It was clear that
there was more going on in his head than he had already shared.
"While we rest and divy things, we should look to rest and
securing our location, if we stay here as well as alerting Sven.
The corridors, where do they lead to? And has anyone seen Chion?"
---------------------------------------------------------------
Arawn will volunteer to join any others to scout out the secret
passages.
He'll also use his Healer skill on himself, Fremea as well if
she wants it.
If there is no sign of Chion in the foyer Arawn will cast
Tracking if anyone has anything Chion has touched in the last 72
hours (ideas here?, i'm sure we have something in the party he's
touched in the last 3 days, maybe Z'leyra's necklace?).
Also, if Raban is still willing, Arawn would appreciate a
draught of the Angelica potion now to restore his Energy levels.
If anyone is dead Arawn will offer to work on bringing them back
to life... after he's had a chance to strengthen his ability with
that spell though. (in other words, after this adventure) Arawn
will collect samples from the statue and golem.
Though he's not likely to do so amidst the others without their
approval he might consider Dark Knowledge to speak with A'kril's
spirit. Just as a heads up if a secure location presents itself
before bedding down. Also, might do Sky Knowledge under the same
circumstances so depends on what we find in the nearby halls.
Arawn will also take some time to examine the chandalier up
close, including the candles. Might light the last two depending
on what, if anything, is found.
As for the Elven Plate, Arawn would be pleased to have such a
rare find but does feel a bit bad about others not having other
items for themselves. If he is allowed to keep it he will allow
Z'leyra the opportunity to study it, though he will not share the
secrets of elf-metal (sorry, Z:-( ) as it is a sacred Sidh
secret. He will be willing to allow another to wear his own
magical elven scalemail in trade, however.
If others need armor after this battle let me know as Arawn may
be able to do something about that.
GM: Ack. If you light the candles let me know I'll forget in the
slew of actions things later on.
----------------------------
From Fremea: [Re: Actions]
Fremea will take the healing from Arawn. As he is working on her,
"It seems there is so much I do not understand, nor that I know
about the world and you do. Yet, this place seems a huge mystery
to even you and why there are dark elves here. Though I am
saddened you did not get to do what you wanted here first, before
everything went to chaos, I am also glad to see that those darker
elves are no longer breathing. There is something about them that
just didn't feel right."
GM: Ack.
----------------------------
From Raban: [Re: Actions]
<I would need to look back to who all had doses from the first
batch of 8. There may be a dose available otherwise another batch
would need to be made.>
<66b update said Z'leyra refused, Arawn decided to drink later,
Raban, Frema, Unali, Kiet have drank, so 4 doses unused in the
skin?>
<assumed to be much later? After misc healings etc> [When Arawn
asked about the Angelica, Raban hurriedly found the skin. He
carefully measured out the required dosage for Arawn and offered
it to him.] Raban (to Arawn) "I am sorry I could not hand you the
skin earlier, but I had to measure it carefully for each person.
Angelica is quite powerful and can kill if too much is taken. In
all the excitement it was forgotten again, fortunately it was
not damaged in the fighting."
[Afterwards Raban will approach Z'leyra] Raban (to Z'leyra)
"You refused to drink the Angelica earlier so others could have
it in your place. But the others did not drink either and now you
need it more than most. Drink, it can greatly replenish your
spirit... You nearly died due to your refusal before, a sacrifice
for others who did not even partake of it. Please do not take
such risks again."
<post void if miscounted doses used and there is not enough left.>
GM: Ack. Yes. Your correct on doses.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
