[Raban can cast the Heal at max El if Bendar wants it, otherwise
he will fly toward the barn after picking up his bow and checking
arrows remaining. It is unlikely the bow will be of much use
unless there are more Vong but it is possible ;)
<Sorry I did not have time to write a proper reply to the joke,
it would have been a lot of fun. Your joke was excellently written
just like a proper update and could have been real with horrible
rolls. Dice have wicked sense of humors!
<So where do you apply to get a Rewind button? The Omega-13s are
too bulky and occasionally destroy the universe so they are just
not practical.
GM: Ack. Just a dream a god has of slaughter of mortals. But can
always do that post in fun. :) To apply you have to have
a class 2 demi-god or class 1 God status and then fill out
the proper forms with my clerk, the soul daiva, at the upper
realms HQ and do the proper sacrifices/bribes for him. Then
around 30 months later he might decide to read it and reply.
Just a simple procedure.

[Julis 26th, 1634TH]
[Location: Middle Katai Plains, Shantou Province]
[ 20 Miles south of Shantou City ]
[ Old Shantou Carnival Grounds ]
[Time: 2:28:15pm - 2:28:30pm]
As Fremea takes to the air and the wagon begins to head out,
Ben'dar limps toward Raban. He looks around for Z'leyra but
finds no sign of her. He figures she is either hiding somewhere
or at the barn already. He grumbles and asks for healing.
Raban nods and knows he could use his skills on Tef'wo but
humans are different. Of course his healing magic does the
work for him and his goddess grants him no need for skills in
those cases. He quickly glances at the chest wound of Ben'dar
who is gritting his teeth from the pain. Raban recoils at the
wounds of blisters, boils and skin that is burnt down to the muscle
in some places. He is amazed Ben'dar can even stand but it
must be his sheer will or stubbornness. He wishes he could
have some burn ointment but he has none on him. After a second
he then decides his most powerful spell of healing will be
needed.
Raban's large hands emit the green healing hues of energy and
expand all over his chest burns A few seconds later the wound
is healed about 40% (8 points). Ben'dar feels a lot better
from almost 60% of his body damaged to about 35% now.
Ben'dar glances down to see most of the boils and strips of skin
have healed which is the main irritant. He still has some wounds
but it can be dealt with later. Riding with such a wound could
start it rebleeding but Then Ben'dar recalls he has some bandages
on Tef'wo. He heads to he horse and grabs the bags to get hem out.
Raban picks up his bow and places it over his shoulder then he
sees Ben'dar getting bandages out. He helps Ben'dar wrap some
strip of bandage around his chest. Ben'dar's leather armor is
destroyed but at least the bandage might help to keep the
wound from rebleeding heavily.
Once this is done Raban runs and leaps to the air and flies
after the wagon once again behind it.
Ben'dar mounts up and turns his horse to give chase after the
wagon as well.
Farseeker seeing Raban treat Ben'dar mounts back up and
rides after the wagon following behind Caladan and the others.
Fremea flies fast toward the barn. She tries to watch the
one Vong on the roof but the other one is hard to see since he
is a bit behind and the heat of the day is acting like a heat
buffer to her eyes. She glances around to ensure no other
flyers are in the area or other surprises but sees nothing.
Kell has almost 1,000 feet head's start on some of the others.
He hasn't stopped even when the others were attacked. His
horse finally closes the final 300 feet. As he rushes forward
he can see the Vong on the roof staring at him but occasionally
gesturing and waving his amphistaff. The Vong warrior clearly seems
to not care about stealth now and surprise. Kell can finally see
his destination now only 30 feet away to the barn door itself. Within
the next couple seconds he could be at the door itself.
Kiet whips his horses forward and is amazed at how quickly the
flyer just went poof. He isn't sure what he actually saw during
those few seconds but it clearly either ate itself or just broke
apart into nothing. Though the wind, noise of the harness and
horses he can barely hear talking inside. Seems Whitney is still
talking about not being able to see and Zhou is trying to convince
him it will all be good in the end or something stupid. Kiet just
shakes his head. He sighs to himself knowing he is here to protect
Zhou which he could've just left in the middle of the field but
yet drives him toward certain danger.
As Raban flies after the wagon he is about 150 feet behind it
and now realized Whitney is not on the back. He glances around to
see if he fell off but doesn't recall seeing him anywhere nearby.
Unali and Strie'bog both ride about 200 feet behind Kell and
know they should reach the barn in 15-20 more seconds.

[Time: 2:28:15pm - 2:28:30pm]
Arawn twirls south to face the other Vong Warrior still standing.
The one that banished the shadow warrior. Arawn decides better armor
might equal things out. Though his iron like right hand is used
for his fighting he has to use it to cast a spell. He begins to
gesture and speak the armor spell incantation. He knows he won't
be able to attack or defend with this arm but it is worth the
risk. As he completes the spell his scale mail glows to his eyes
blue and his clothing seems to stiffen a bit and glow but a fair
fainter hue of blue. In one swift move his scale mail seems to
almost double in strength. Of course his shield remains
unaffected by the spell.
The Vong warrior growls at the new blue around Arawn but
this seems to actually make him even more angry. The Vong
warrior thrusts with his amphistaff and brings it just left
of the Eleven shield and stabs Arawn in the upper left chest
near Arawn's heart. The massive strike does great damage
of 12 points to Arawn even past his new magical armor. (Deadly
hit, AV7 effect, 19-7=12 points).
As Arawn is knocked back a foot by this blow he notices the Vong
from the roof climbing down the ladder to the second floor. He
has that ball like object on his belt that was the swarm. He
climbs down and stares at Arawn and then draws the object to his
left hand.
Z'leyra and Will have already descended to the first floor so do
not see Arawn being wounded badly.
Arawn now realizes that fighting two while almost mortally
wounded is dangerous. Even a light wound through his new magic
armor could kill him. He decides retreat is the only best way
to survive this. Especially if that Vong fires his insect swarm
again and he'll not make it.
Arawn knows if he fails the spell he'll likely not survive.
He quickly casts the teleport spell and disappears. He reappears
out east of the barn outside about 544 feet from it. He then
collapses to his knees from the damage and pain. He is amazed
the Vong got a lucky shot and even wounded him through his tough
armor. if they can do that these things will be a serious threat.
Arawn drops his shield and clutches his chest at the wound. He
doesn't feel the warm texture of poison surging to his heart but
if the wound was an inch to his right he might be dead from the
heart strike. At best it seems to only affect part of his left
heart pumps and lung maybe but he isn't sure.
Arawn glances up to see many of the party riding toward his
general location. Most are about 500 to 800 feet away from him
though and could take 10-12 seconds for them to reach him.
The closest three are Chion and Caladan on their horses about
400-450 feet away. Flying near them is Fremea in the sky who
now sees Arawn on the ground.

Z'leyra before lowering down notices a blue hue around Arawn
and guesses a spell of some sort. Before she leaves he is in
good shape and figures he can handle one by himself. As she
levitates through the ceiling to the first floor she notices
immediately stalls all around. They are about 10 feet wide
and 10 feet deep with half doors for horses to hang their heads
out like a typical horse barn might have. There must be 30 or
so stalls on this level. There are a set of stairs in the west
going up to the second floor and a barn door to the rear about 20
feet wide, large enough for wagons to enter.
Between the north and south stalls is a large open area wide
enough to park maybe a dozen normal sized wagons from the open
weather. But at this time there are no horses or wagons in the
entire area. Facing west she quickly levitates west and sees a Vong
warrior standing there. She passes him with ease and glances to the
north stalls looking in for hidden Vong. They could be hiding
below the half-stall door but very unlikely. After about 10 seconds
she reaches the stairs and they are made of wood. She then
levitates through the west barn door and exits into the rear of
the barn. From this new angle she clearly takes in the full
site of the back of the barn and takes notes.
Z'leyra heads south a bit and reenters the barn. She then
levitates east jut above the floor and scouts out the south
barn stalls. She notices the Vong warriors have now shifted
a bit.
At the same time Will who doesn't know Z'leyra is nearby
also lowers into the first floor. He sees the same thing that
Z'leyra does. He immediately sees one Vong warrior about 50
feet to his north west and some others to his east. He
does a quick head count and thinks to himself hoping Whitney
will hear him, "4 Vong ground flour of barn."
Since the closest Vong is not showing his back to him he
decides to move east to investigate that area and why they
are all clumping near the door.
Will crosses the open area invisible and levitating to the
north east diagonally. His lower level levitate spell isn't as
fast as Z'leyra's so moves slower. After 10 seconds he finds the
Vong in the east standing about have their backs to him. Knowing
distraction is good he fires his bow at the nearest one about 100
feet away. But the arrow goes to the right and slides on the
ground.
Will heading to the full door in the northeast of the barn is
curious what is behind the door. But he moves slow and is now
40 feet closer to the same Vong. he fires again but the arrow
this time goes to the left and misses the warrior.

[Time: 2:28:15pm - 2:28:30pm]
Outside Kell ends up now about 30 feet to the barn door. As
he nears he grins ready to be the first on the scene but also
knows his support is a bit behind him. He glances up to see
the Vong Warrior on the roof very close now to see full features
of his leather spiked clothing and odd shaped head. As Kell
nears the Vong warrior stands stiff. At 40 feet the warrior
eyes the horse. At 35 feet the warrior pulls his amphistaff
out and then into both arms and crouches. Then to Kell's
amazement the warrior jumps down. At 22 feet high the warrior
lands with a dusty thud onto the ground as if he just jumped
2 feet off a porch. He growls at the charging merchant on his
horse and raises his spear for action.
Inside the barn when Will fires his arrows several of the Vong
look around but do not see Will or seem to sense him. But the one
in rear remains wary and barks orders both Z'leyra and Will do not
understand. Above him muffled voices are heard that are Vong and
other orders or maybe sentry data from the roof sentry is given
to the lower ranks. Ignoring the two arrows the three Vong near
the barn door rush forward and throw it open. The barn door opens
to the south swinging wide.
As the roof sentry lands on the ground the east barn door opens
behind him and unfazes him as if expecting it. Then the lone
brave jumper is quickly backed up with the three Vong from inside
running outside.
Actions? Comments?
Next Update...Friday...
GM: We can try for 5 more phases for next update. I may not
have time though as full day Thursday so won't have more
time to work on update till unless get early posts.
GM: All above was the same 5 phases but I did it slightly after
other actions even though it was at the same exact few seconds.
So for example as Kell rushed up that last 30 feet ending his
5th phase the jumper came down and barn door opened. But
I included it last for fun.
GM: Below I've listed the distance each person is to the barn.
This is the barn wall itself. You can use this to judge how
long it will take you to get there. I list it here for
my sanity and ease of record keeping to see who will arrive
on scene first. I added a better tactical hex map to the
bottom maps so folks can know better tactical position for
combat. I will add folks as they get onto the map in this
range its about 200 feet outside the barn.
GM: Arawn - Wow. Sorry. Deadly hit lucky -1 roll. He got
real lucky. Even with that nice AV7 armor he hurt you.
I went with your plan to teleport if badly hurt. I left
you doing 3 phases. So 2 phases were not done above so
if you want to do 7 phases that's fine. 2 phases for
this update technically I left off - since I didn't know
what you wanted done at this point and the normal 5
phases for next update.
Will - Sorry slow levitate speed and big barn. So didn't get
much done. If your goal is still the area labeled A on
the map then you should be able to just enter it at the
end of the next update (5th phase) if you zig zag into
the stalls and head east. I fired twice since your
actions seem to indicate fire at backs first and then
closest in that order. Bad dice rolls sorry.
Kell - At end of 5th phase you end up now only 30 feet from the
barn or about 20 feet from the warrior. This means likely
one phase of a charge if you continue. But he has friends.
Since no actions on 'nearing the barn' I just made
you move closer.
GM: Opps. Time for bed. I forgot the spll recasts. Spells
were recast for Z'leyra insub, Will Insub and Will
invisibility. All were good but forgot to add to above text.
Will assume previous ELs for recasting.
Next update these spells will end.
Will's ssending, Fremea's invisibility, Will's levitate will
need to be recast.
