[Recap]
From Will: [Re: Fall from grace]
Well I got back from Mexico night before last and I think
I've almost recovered. I see Will has had some bad luck.
They put stall indicators on airplanes maybe I need to
invent one.
GM: Ack. Well this is one of those things I list as "can't
help its". I can only guide a person through what I have.
If a person is told that walking through that thick lava
to cross to the other side 10 feet away might tickle. Then
don't blame me for the "sudden death syndrome". In this
case when spell ends gravity picks up. It is near impossible
unless at a table counting the phases yourself to cheat and
see how long a spell is going (especially when doing a lot
of various things). One CAN estimate the durations end time
and plan that way. As to anti grav boots. Using pnp's nice
magic system one could come up with something like it. :)
From Kiet: [Re: Actions]
Kiet looks over to the Trader and says "I sure hope that...
GM: Ack. A bit long for 3 seconds. But it won't affect the
story. Plus came in late and too tired to divide it
up into other phases. :)

[New Stuff]
[Augado 10th, 1634TH]
[Location: Middle Katai Plains]
[ Mountains west of Pamau]
[Time: 2:26:10 pm]
The two flyers near the top of the large open cavern continue
to give chase after the other 2 that left the mount moments ago.
The other Flyer being chased by Raban doesn't realize he is
being chased and does a simple winding curve to attack Lin
and Raban again.
Raban flies through the air toward the flyer hoping to at the
very least distract it from Lin. When the flyer does a loop
to get back to attack posture the giant makes his move. With
only 30 feet from it he quickly crosses the distance. He slams
into the 13 foot flyer's roof catching the left "horn". The
razor sharp coral of the surface of the flyer cuts in his flesh
and leather. He smiles in wild glee as he realizes Ben'dar must
have gotten to him. The flyer is almost four times as large as
big and at 400 pounds he is not small. But he has seen small
men wrangle horses 4 times their mass easily. Maybe he can
try this as well.
Fremea raises her bow to the Vong that is prowling at what
she believes to be Will's body. She fears 6 arrows could kill
him so aims low and fires. The six arrows fly out and impact
on the ground about 10 feet. The sound of the impact and sudden
appearance makes the Vong look up.
Ben'dar watches Z'leyra unpacking her stuff. He glances down
at the wound he has taken. He knows it is serious but not fatal.
He has had worse when a horse dumped him in the rain. "No healing
needed right now. Just patch." He quickly lets Z'leyra knows he
can likely take another hit before needing healing.
Z'leyra glances up to Ben'dar and his bleeding. She shakes
her head at the foolish barbarian. But she knows he is stubborn
and healing would waste time now he figures, so Z'leyra plans
to just stop the bleeding and do simple first aid.
Farseeker swipes at the last warrior hitting him in the left
shoulder doing 6 points of damage.
Arawn gets behind the last Vong and thrusts his sword but the
Vong is agile and the blade hits him in the right rear shoulder
doing just 2 points.
Kell waits for his friends to show up and runs for the east
to help the others.
Lin continues running northward as he watches the insane
giant jump on the back of the strange flying rock.
The warrior attacking Farseeker and Caladan turn to the
military man and stabs his amphistaff at him. He hits Farseeker
in the middle left chest but his chainmail protects the blow.
The four of the Vong that Fremea left begins to move west s
the bugs to move in that general direction as they fly in a
seemingly random fashion.
The Vong warrior who is trying to determine what the hidden
body is notices the arrows impact on the ground nearby. He
decides the object at his feet can wait. He stands and looks
to the air to pinpoint the source of the missile fire. He
reaches for his bug pistol on his belt and unlocks it.
Caladan's war staff is slammed against the warrior's middle
chest breaking ribs and doing 11 points of damage.
Kiet runs after Kell and joins along side the trader going east.
Kiet looks over to the Trader and says, "I sure hope that works
because if it were to fail abysmally we will be in deep
'dumi'." Kiet finished with a short word in his native
language (similar to tagalog).
-----------------------
[Time: 2:26:13 pm]
As Kell and Kiet look forward to see the trio fighting the
last of the Vong in that battle the earth begins to rumble
a bit. Kell grins broadly as it seems his friends have come
to play. Three mounds of dirt, sand and stone seem to break
from the surface of the ground about 50 feet from Kell. The
three mounds get larger and wider. Some resemblance of a body
is seen. Two thick legs and arms as wide as a tree sprout
out. The body itself is huge and robust but there is no "head"
it seems. The summoned elementals is mostly made of stone,
sand and a bit of brown dirt or old caked lava. The three
living earth elementals are separated by about 10 feet but
about 50 feet in front of Kell. All three are about 80 feet
from the flyers and Farseeker. The first elemental stands
at 14 in diameter and 25 feet tall. The second stands at only
12 feet wide and 14 feet tall. The third is 19 feet in diamater
and 24 feet tall. The elementals don't seem to be aware of
their surrounding but they know innately the requested
summoned info.
Two of the flyers leave the mount to chase the chariot in
hopes to destroy it.
The pilot inside the flyer detects Raban not by the animal's
senses but by the slam of the giant on the surface. The pilot
realizes it must be some magic plot and begins his evasive
maneuvers going southward.
Raban's feet dangle to the front section of the flyer as he
tries to hang on for life. He begins to feel the strange
gravity well generated by the front of the flyer. He has
heard arrows shot by Fremea be sucked in to just vanish to
nothingness. He would hate to just poof. He begins to
concentrate as hard as he can and pulls in his half breed
nature to move through the thick coral. Within a second
the giant melts into the coral like butter and slams into
the sitting pilot at the helm of the animal beast inside.
Fremea swoops downward and toward the cave wall. She
turns and begins to dive behind the Vong who is looking
for her. She knows firing at point blank range just 5
feet from the warrior should give Will no risk of exposure.
But if a arrow goes wild he does have that tough armor now.
Hovering 3 feet off the ground and behind the warrior she
fires the bow just feet from him. One arrow goes to the
right and impacts the dirt. Three of the arrows just hit
the warrior in the neck, right arm and left rear middle
back. The one in the rear fails to penetrate his armor.
But the other do 4 and 1 point. The warrior takes a severe
hit in his left arm doing 11 points tearing through his
tissue and out the other side. But the one arrow that kills
the warrior is one on his left rear lung doing 17 points
of damage. With all four arrows killing him the creatures
falls to the ground.
Farseeker thrusts at the warrior nearby and fails to hit him.
Arawn attacks the same warrior Farseeker is trying to kill.
This time his sword thrusts through his crab armor on his right
lower abdomen at 4 points of damage.
Kell runs forward toward the summoned elementals.
On the other side of the field Lin continues moving northward.
The three elementals move in unison toward the field of
flyers. They don't move like a person but seem to glide
on the ground as if surfing on the rock and stone. As they
move they create a large track of uncovered dirt and stone
in their wake.
The last Vong attacking Farseeker thrusts his amphistaff
at his chest and hits doing a minor wound.
The two Vong in the SE tower see their comrade suddenly
be pelted by arrows and killed out of the blue. One grabs
the Orb to make a quick warning.
The pilot is so shocked to see Raban land through the
flyer's solid skin onto his lap. The giant crushes his
Navigation Hood which ends any control he had over the
flyer. He is as blind as Raban from seeing what is going
on outside. The pilot gasps for air and tries to roll
from his coral seat to get to his coufee. But the shock
and surprise is too much and he fails to grab the weapon.
Caladan swings his war staff at the back of the last Vong
and hits him. The last of the damage is enough to kill him.
Kiet runs after Kell and joins his side. He notices the
new beings of stone and hopes they are on his side.
-----------------------
[Time: 2:26:16 pm]
The flyer above the homes dips sideways and acts like
it out of control. In fact the flyer is unguided and dips
to a crash course to the ground. Seconds later time seems
to stop. The flyer is pointed right at one of the houses
nearby the home that Ben'dar and Z'leyra are in. Twenty
feet from the ground the gravity well shakes the home as
if grabbed by a giant hand. The dome which isn't attached
to the ground begins to lift up just as the flyer gets to
within 15 feet. Inside the single Brigader commander in
charge of the local brigade ground is startled by the
sudden shake of the dome. He knows the mount has had
earthquakes but this is weird. A second later the
dome flies up above his hand and the brigader is standing
half naked with a beard shaver in hand. A half second
later the human looks up to see the home collapse upon
itself and folded up once then again and again in a
endless cycle of folding and dividing. Then the human
yells a loud profanity as he sees the flyer diving right
for his spot. The brigader tries to leap away but the
gravity well projector of the flyer holds him in place
as the flyer gets within 5 feet. The man's entire body
seems to divide and subdivide under the strain of gravity
and physics. The last thought the brigader thinks is he
will die with a half shaven beard! A few miiliseconds
later the flyer slams into the ground making a 20 feet
crater that drives dirt, sand and debris within a 40 foot
radius. The only thing that seems to save the flyer
from disintegrating completely is the gravity well
projector that sucks in everything in its black hole
matrix.
Fremea lands on the ground and checks Will. it takes
her a second to find his neck. He is still breathing
but shallow and pulse is very faint. She is no healer
but at least he is still alive. She glances up to see
the giant elementals suddenly glide forward. Then in
the far east she sees a debris cloud of some kind and
the rumble of a faint thump.
Inside the home Ben'dar and Z'leyra glance at each other
to see what the noise just heard outside. It sounds like
half the mountain fell down. Concerned Ben'dar opens the
door to see the debris cloud and crater of the crashed
flyer. The flyer seems cracked but oddly in good shape.
The home that was there just 100 feet away due south of
them is missing. Z'leyra continues to blot the wound and
hopes whatever caused the flyer to crash doesn't come this
way.
Inside the coralskipper the giant shakes his head from the
fall. He grins wildly as the ride was fantastic. He
notices the Vong under his back is not moving. Likely
due to being crushed by a 400 pound giant. He rolls over
and checks the Vong finding him indeed dead from neck
and skull damage. Inside the now oddly dark flyer he
tries to get to his feet but his feet are a bit dazed
from the shock. He notices his hands seem a bit shredded
from the coral and blood is seen on his body but knows
no time to check that out. He notices a bit of light
at the seam of what should be the door. He tries to
find the button or latch to open as he leans against the
door. As he searching for the handle to open the
door the seam of cracked coral erupts even further apart
and Raban finds himself stumbling out a broken door. The
giant rolls to his feet as dust, dirt and powdered coral
dot his clothing and hair. Raban coughs from the dust
and rolls to his side to get some air. Then he notices
Ben'dar some 100 feet north of him grinning like a
Zen'da woman about to get some long lost loving. He
grins back and gives a faint salute like "that's how
one takes out a flyer."
Across the field Farseeker looks back to see Kell,
Kiet running this way. He now sees for the first time
Arawn here as well. Then he notices the towering rock
things. He shrugs and figures the elemental guy is
doing his thing. He was used to Trembyl doing that so
isn't too surprised. He turns back to the others and
the flyers. "Let's move out and clean the field." He
motions for the others to follow.
Kell runs forward and gets feet from the towering rock
elementals. He points to the nearby dead Vong and the
flyers. He tells them to kill those things. He knows
the stone creatures are well dumb as a rock. But he
hopes the pact will help him to convey his request.
Arawn turns to see the elemental moving this way but
ignores them. He glances to the right to see the two
towers but at this angle sees no brigader or Vong on
the field. He then turns west to see the debris cloud
of the crashed flyer. He isn't sure what just caused
that but maybe its a bigger threat then over there. He
decides to change his mind and run westward.
Captain Lin turns back to see the flyer crash to the
ground. He begins to panic in thinking that Raban
was on that thing. He begins to turn around to run
back to help but notices the giant on the ground seem
to be laughing? Lin shrugs and decides the giant can
catch up and heads northward again.
The three elementals move eastward one getting right
close to Farseeker. The three huge rock creatures begin
to pound on the flyer (F31). Two of the elementals do
some serious damage. One creates minor cracks in the
surface while destroying one of the plasma horn things.
the other does enough damage to crack open a 3 foot
gash in the flyer.
The four Vong notice the large rock creatures and
wonder if they are new Shaper toys? But then they
see them pound the flyer. But their duty is clear
they must stop the enemy or capture them. The four
slink further west toward Farseeker and Caladan who
can't see the four moving this way yet.
Vong elsewhere in the towers are barking orders and
requesting reinforcements. But it seems the Orbs are
acting confused as if the entire Orb network is being
jammed or over-talked. Maybe the chaos is overloading
their orb communications.
Caladan moves nearby Farseeker and for the first time
sees a faint shimmer of Vong movement. He points to the
direction about 50 feet away that could be Vong.
Kiet runs up and joins Kell again watching the rock
elementals pound on the flyer.

[Time: 2:26:19 pm - Next phase]
Actions? Comments?
Next Update....Friday?
GM: Short update. Looks like a few got things done but
lots still going on behind scenes. Next update will
depend on time. If I get it done at all it will be
3 phases but could be 5 if things go fast. So you
can plan for 3-5 phases. Mana report NOT updated
on this update as was very minor experience. Will
do it for next update or over weekend.
GM: Situation Report -
Arawn - Per email going west now.
Fremea - Multi arrow likely will end next update.
If you recast keep in mind the mana already used.
I will assume you will take the 2 in the tower
out and then move on elsewhere unless you state
otherwise. If no post or chat msg will do no
new spell to recast.
Kell - Where would you like to direct the elementals?
More flyers? The towers or to the first Vong/Human
you see? I will assume in this order Vong, Flyer
and tower unless stated otherwise.
Will - Will be pretty much out of it until you get
healed and over DTV health. :<
Z'leyra - Will take about 3-4 more phases to patch up
Ben'dar. This is fairly FAST but you are using
speed so that helps a bit. Will assume moving to
next home as listed unless stated otherwise.
GM: Spells active
Z'leyra - Orient Self, Invisibility, Speed
Ben'dar - Speed
Fremea - Invisibility, Multi-Arrow*
Will - Armor Transmutation, Invisibility

Note: When a coordinate is given it might say H8.30. The
first letter is the coordinate row and second is column.
If the scale is large I will use a .XX to denote distance
between that row and next (in this case Lin for example
is 30 feet heading north to row G). This way I know where
folks are exactly.
