For himself and anybody that wants to take the offer of a ride,
Kiet will activate his token to fly all affected down off the
silo.
Also, Kiet would like to take the earliest opportunity to learn
the local salaqara language.
GM: Ack. Anyone that wishes to learn the languages will have to
get a Mage to do their magic. So you will have to work on
those deals.

[New Stuff]
[Sepes 28th, 1634TH]
[Location: North of Salaqara, Donara]
[Time: 7:23am]
On top of the farm silo 30 feet off the ground the group
feels a bit awkward. Maybe it would've been better to come
at night when folks couldn't see anything.
Kiet begins rummaging around in a pouch and pulls out a small
metallic token that looks like a feather or wing, then looks
over to Fremea. "I can fly all of us down that can keep in
contact with me...you, especially, Fremea. We wouldn't want
to expose your secret here. Can someone pick up Raban's bag?"
Z'leyra goes over to the edge and says to the fellow, "We
are looking for a rather large fellow we appear to have
misplaced, I don't suppose you've seen him?"
Arawn looked down at the fresh droppings he had landed in
before lifting his foot to scrape it clean on an unmarred section
of the roof. As he finished the farmer's call drew his attention,
his lips curling ever so slightly into a smile as the language of
the Salaqi fell upon his ears. It was the language of a noble
people, or so his mother had told him, and ones she favored.
When news of Raban's disappearance started a buzz amongst the
group Arawn cast an eye about but did not seem overly worried,
at least for the time being. Likely the giant had taken
precaution and slipped insubstantially into the silo for cover
and a quick look around. Hopefully he would reappear soon. For
now Arawn focused on the farmer below and the dilemma of
getting everyone safely to the ground.
"As to Raban, I wouldn't be surprised to find him scouting
about but if he doesn't show I'll do what I can to track him."
Arawn cleans his boots as he speaks about the Bard.
Ha'Kell looks around and takes a deep breath, flexing his
ankle. It feels fine after the drop. He wants to mark the
landscape in his mind. Now to find their way to the city and
that shop.
In bad Donaran, "Me talks $%#^&ly Donran. You talks words to
man." It's obvious he learned Donaran from people with very
colorful vocabularies.
Turning to Fremea, "Do you have plan now?" in his bad
accent.
Kell grabs Raban's bag and prepare to fly down.
Fremea looks over the edge to see the man standing there
with pitchfork. It is almost laughable, though she doesn't feel
like doing that.
"The book work collects the gems." She repeats the phrase in
Salaqi that the Elder had said in the illusion, hoping that this
is the farmer he was talking about.
Before anyone can fly down to the ground or teleport again,
she notices Raban not there and wonders if Will should make sure
he actually came with them by going back to check.
"Wait, before we go down there, make sure this is the man the
Elder told us about. Where is Raban? Arawn, you make the
introductions once we are down there. It will look better from
you then me as a child."
Fremea had to raise her a voice a bit as the farmer is a bit
away but the boys are closing staring up. The man seems to
stand there staring for a few long moments that seem to go
on for ever. A gust of wind blows the clothing and cloaks
of the party like visions of doom in some cheap book.
After she secures her bags and has an even footing at the
roof of the silo, Unali looks up and around to get a bearing
on the place and to see where if anywhere near Raban may have
gone off to.
By then Fremea has been calling the book worm phrase down.
Unali looks if there are sports on the side of the silo or a
ladder, and failing that if there are enough hand holds to climb
down. If so, she will climb down by herself.
Unali begins to look around for a way down. There are small
spots to tie rope so she could climb down if needed. But she
is unsure it will hold her weight.
The boys inch closer to the farmer. "Pa? Should we fetch
the hounds?"
The farmer looks to the boys who are in their upper teens.
He shakes his head. "No. These are...entertainers who got
a bit confused." He raises his voice on that last word.
then lowers it a bit down. "They were trying some trick but
forgot their ladders."
"Maybe they are gyros?" One lad speaks.
"You mean gypsy? Nah. These look from a circus. Get
back to work in the barn on milking the cows."
"But pa!"
"No sassing!"
The two boys shuffle their feet then look up and then
begin to shuffle back toward the barn and enters it.
"Close the barn door or you won't see the fair if they are
in town!"
As the barn door is closed at the protests and grumbles of
the boys the silo door swings open from below startling the
farmer. Raban steps into the sun and the farmer backs away.
Raban uses his left hand to dust straw and hay from his
clothing and holds something in his right hand. Raban looks
up and shakes his head. Then back at the farmer. In Donaran
he speaks, "that large stack of hay and I find this!" He
hands the farmer a metal piece that looks like a broken half
something of a machine or tool. It shines in the sun. Raban
grumbles that the teleport must've kicked in his talent to pass
through things and he landed inside the silo on top of a hay of
stack and finds the provebal needle from
it.
Some in the party laugh at Raban under their breath. The
poor giant landed soft but could've been worse. Could have
been rotten eggs or bad corn.
"Will do," Arawn replied with a quick nod when Fremea asked
him to make introductions upon their descent.
He turned to look at Kiet, wondering just how many he would
be able to fly down before looking at Will's wolf.
"If your wolf needs help descending I'm happy to help if you
wish to conserve your strength," he offered Will, realizing the
man had likely expended a fair amount of energy transporting the
entire company to the farm.
Arawn tries to study the farmer's body language. The man
shows no emotion but then studies the group. He looks back
to the farmhouse and then to the barn. Then shrugs and stomps
his pitchfork on the ground. He says something but it is too
low to hear him.
"Excuse me the ladder is around back." Raban rounds the
side of the silo and disappears. He then leaps flying to
the roof and helps the others. At the same time Kiet also
activates his magical token and flies Fremea down to the
ground. From the other side hidden from view Raban helps
the others down quickly using his bulk.
Arawn approaches the farmer. "Niv Salis? Sorry to drop in
so unexpected. There is someone here that would like to speak to
you." Pointing to Fremea.
The farmer looks to Kiet who clearly uses magic but at least
he does not falter or go screaming about evil magic. That
is a good sign. The others round the back of the silo and
approach.
"The old man is still alive? I figured he would be dead
by now. I've not done...things for him in 22 years. He
now calls in his chips? He has a long memory!" The farmer
looks to Fremea but wonders why this child wants him?
The farmer turns to Arawn and nods as if he agrees to his
name. Then turns to Kell. "Why do you wish to yell words at
me like a beggar?" The man grins as if trying to understand
what Kell tried to say.
Actions? Comments?
Next Update....Monday...
GM: A small update since it was holiday I didn't want to work
too much. Especially after a certain Shaman who will be
nameless wanted to play Diablo 3. Should finish up
the mana report and some character sheet cleanup in a day
or two. Consider all on the ground now.
GM: Reminder - Gold conversion. I don't recall any of
the party converting gold to Donaran so spending
Katai gold might be a bit hard. Unless stated
(I think 2 did) I will assume all are taking the
gold on your sheet. Deadline for this is once the
party reaches the markets for buying/selling. Deadline
for gear changes will be the first combat unless I
change that later. I believe I'm half way done the
sheet clean up on the gear now. Marking what is
being taken and such.
GM: Happy Memorial Day to those in USA. For the Europe
folks well happy Monday!
