Man from Thaliba was a Avatar. Endowed by gods
directly since they can't actually be in Middle
World. So the man could understand many 8f not
all languages and speak it. Once the 'god' left
the Avatar he was a simple man and had no clue what was said.

follows this "human" scum as fast

get in the portal fast enough for what she would do after)

Arawn gave Kiet a nod as he
focused his empathic communication
OOC: If the creature/watcher is
willing and Arawn can Transmute it to a smaller
size to fit through the portal he'll do so. If it
doesn't appear necessary or the creature refuses
he'll skip this and focus on the runes earlier.

because they are all cellphone messages? Anyway,
reviewed the site & am sending this.]
Raddok is uncertain what to do. He is appalled at Velf's
Raddok runs closer to Arawn, & a
bit toward the portal, until he can see Dorhak
clearly, then stops, mace now drawn & shield
ready, nearly between the altar stand and the
portal, hoping for an indication from either one
which way to run or act next. He sees the book
glowing, and backs up a few steps, looking away
toward Arawn & Dorhak, just in case staring at it is dangerous.
GM: Ack. I already did update so the
action above is not done sadly or I'd have to
rewrite stuff. Sorry. As to list. I'll restate
the info again. When I finish update I email to
the same address you guys do. It goes to Europe
and Wout's pc. Where list server copies (CC)
that email to those on list. It then sends it out
to those isp domains. Once it gets there we have
no control. ISP can ignore, bounce or send it or
put in spam. Some ISPs see it as spam. Some like
Gmail are notorious to lose or bounce
emails. Nothing we can do there. Which is why
Archives are so vital. Its updated in real
time. In seconds any posts you send out there it
goes. My site takes longer as its a manual update
so longer. Most times its not the list itself but
the isp or routers that screw up.

If the portal is still open,
invoke speed boots and try to get thru it.

GM: Ack. Got this late so just added
so will consider movitoward portal asap. Yes it is still open.

[Ma 3rd, 1636TH]
[Time: 1:24 pm – South-East of Ma'Dor]
Unali wants to try and follow Velf
through the portal. She runs towards the portal
and tries to get to the front of the creature.
"Let me in and catch him if you can't get in." (in Katai)
Pyan has time to doubt the wisdom of
his actions as the creature approaches him, but
being from one of the so called savage
civilizations he is used to negotiating where you
don't know is the other party is going to attack
you, you just don't show that your weak enough
that their attack would be a concern. Pyan
maintains his composure tough his skin becomes goose flesh.
Pyan ignores the other happenings in
the chamber not even turning a eye, just waiting
for a reply to his pleas for help until the
creature charges off. Pyan doesn't look to where
the creatures is charging, it will sort itself
out soon enough instead his looks around the
chamber and evaluates the situation.
Pyan thinks that they where smart
enough to know that Dorhak passed the tests and
recognize him as the new guardian, though would
they recognize a bunch of non-dwarfs as his
friends? Pyan prepares to do battle with the armored figures.
Kiet almost turns white on seeing
that book. "Is that the same book Ki'ama kept as being 'too dangerous' "?
Kiet suspects it is based on the
cover symbol. If it is Velf can destroy Lemasa and Katai then take over.
The dwarf points over at Z’leyra and
says, "You! Z! I’ll bet you could talk to this
snuffling thing. Maybe it will help us if we help free it?"
Fremea is really angry now. She
follows this "human" scum as fast as she can,
hopefully missing the large stone statue that wanted to follow him also.
[Time: 1:25 pm – South-East of Ma'Dor]
Arawn gave Kiet a nod as he focused
his empathic communication towards the creature,
offering to shrink it down if it was too big for
the portal. At the same time he moved back
towards the pillar, trying to read the flashing
runes in hopes of understanding and altering the situation.
Z'leyra speaks up. "Please don't
interfere with us chasing after and punishing
that thief!" But she is glad that she has on her
armor, just in case things go bad.
Raddok is uncertain what to do. He is
appalled at Velf's behavior & possible escape
through what appears to be a portal, but the
animating sets of dwarf armor are scattering his
thoughts, which prevented, at least, Raddok
dashing off blindly after the Vahearan fool. He
glances around at Arawn and Dorhak, still trying
to translate anything into Dwarven Elder, that
might help, although in the back of his mind, he
knows Dorhak can probably order the armor to help
- if they listen to the dwarf "guardian."
Kiet hears the booming voice and
shakes his head, groaning. Obviously the time
for this guardian is over. "Damn! I think one
of us will have to remain behind."
[Time: 1:24:03 pm – South-East of Ma'Dor]
[Turn 1: Phase 1]
The creature doesn't seem to
understand Arawn's attempt but understands his
friendly nature. The creature nods his head
twice but doesn't seem agree to being
shrunk. The beast glances at the altar then
beyond toward the east past and seems to concentrate.
Unali waves her arms trying to move
the beast but he ignores her. She yells to
Dorhak, "Dorhak, tell this beast to move and let
us through to catch Velf and the book. There is no time to lose."
Arawn climbs the stairs. Something
nags at his thoughts as he tries to recall the
runes. He scans the runes again and they shifted
a bit as if new runes show and others fade. He
realizes that the magic in this place would've
probably backfired on shrinking the beast. If
Velf tried to use magic to get in he doubts he could use magic IN the cave.
Suit #1 moves toward Unali with mace
and shield and swings at her but
misses.
Suit #5 moves toward Mournath swings Mace but misses.
Suit #2 moves toward Dorhak, who is
upset that one of his kind – probably – is
attacking him. The mace hits Dorhak but his armor protects him.
Suit #3 moves with Glaive in hand toward Arawn.
Suit #4 moves toward Z'leyra swings
and hits but the mace doesn't penetrate her armor.
Suit #6 moves toward group with Glaive in glove.
Suit #7 moves up toward Unali.
Suit #8 moves toward Barbosa and swings it's mace but misses.
Suit #9 moves toward Raddok and
swings it's glaive hitting his left shoulder doing 8 points of damage.
Suit #10 moves toward Kiet swings mace but misses.
Suit #11 moves toward party joining near #6.
Suit #12 moves toward party.
Dorhak swings on his attacker but
almost fumbles his mace. He can't stop dreaming.
If he could sell all these plate dwarf armors
he'd be super rich. That is the true treasure here.
Barbosa hits his attacker but doesn't penetrate armor.
[Time: 1:24:06 pm – South-East of Ma'Dor]
[Turn 1: Phase 2]
Fremea stores her bow away as she
figures a simple arrow will not penetrate plate
armor. But she wants to get to the portal. If
she can can topple a suit it will be difficult to
stand up. She flies toward #7 using her martial
arts but the armor is too hefty and she fails.
Unali glances to see beast not moved
yet. She knows daggers will do little against
armor so tries to hit with both daggers between
joints. Both daggers fail to hit the good joints.
The beast raises his head and lumbers toward the platform.
Arawn realizes the mental nag. The
small non glowing rune denotes hibernation or
rest or long term. But together with the other 2
runes that denote guardian he realizes the
meaning. Could the guardian sleep again? Is that the beast or the suits?
Mournath turns and spears toward a
open joint but hits armor and is blocked.
Kiet turns toward his attacker with
tulwar but misses. If he flames could bones burn?
Z'leyra turns to swing her great sword but misses her attacker.
Raddok swings his mace considering
fleeing toward safety but misses.
Suit #1 hits Unali in the neck doing
6 points and almost beheads her
Suit #2 swings on Dorhak but
misses. Suit #4 swings on Z'leyra but misses.
Suit #3 moves toward Arawn and swings
it's glaive hitting him in the right left doing 5 points of damage.
Suit #5 swings on Mournath but fails
to hit. Suit #6 moves toward Mournath as well.
Suit #7 does a wild swing at Fremea but misses.
Suit #8 swings at Barbosa and hits his shield.
Suit #9 swings on Raddok but misses.
Suit #10 swings on Kiet hits but his armor protects him.
Suit #11 moves toward Mournath.
Pyan raises his bow but suddenly gets
a bit of a headache that fades quickly. He turns to the west and blinks.
Barbosa swings on his attacker but misses.
Dorhak swings on Suit #2 hits on his
right lower abdomen just above where his hip
might be. Where his armor is slightly
exposed. The blow is hard and he does 7 points
to his lower ribs or hip as its unclear.
Actions? Comments?
Next Update: Saturday/Monday.
GM: Folks seemed to ignore the suits
that landed on ground. ;) But they didn't forget
you. Been a long week. I was close to getting
this out Friday. But lost a hour Thursday night
where I could've finished. Then Friday lost 4
hours starting late. Got more stuff so had to
add to update. Saturday was only 20 min to
finish then ran out of time. Monday was super
busy. So its almost a week late and could've been
done Thursday. So this is late and will try to
do it Saturday since work Friday if not
Monday. Tried to do 2 updates but oh
well. Portal is free now. Suit armor/weapons fleshed out below on roster.
GM: Arawn – Might be hard to
study/use runes with Suit at your back. So need
to decide on best course of action. Leaving
platform is being blocked by Suit as well.
Dorhak: Orders?
Fremea: I assume enter portal now? Or help others?
Kiet: Got 2 coming at ya. Want to stay/fight or move away?
Mournath: 3 coming your away. I
assume you move away for safety?
Pyan: See Email. :)
Raddok: Since hurt do you move away?
Unali: I assume move toward Portal?
