Z'leyra pauses. "Ugh...hmmm.
Arawn, Fremea. Before I cast anything,
GM: Ack.

[New Stuff]
[Ma 10th, 1636TH]
[Time: 7:50 pm LW time]
Z'leyra speaks up, "Hold on! Before
humans go through I would like to try to protect
us from the aging. While I had originally planned
to research and prepare for this before any
excursion to the Lower World, needs must and I
will give it the best try with what little mana I
have, Please allow me a few moments of casting."
The Avatar turns to Z'leyra, “that
would be unwise. The Sidh have prepared this
game and the tunnels with great effort. That
would include defenses for any non friendly magic
in case enemy forces got this far. Cast at your own risk.”
The King looks back at Z'leyra then
to Fremea. “Can you detect this?”
Fremea quickly nods. While the
“Test” chamber had minerals to affect the party
the tunnels and this chamber seem to have a high
purified and protection area. Course any hidden
defensive wards may be shielded.
The Bes steps up and whispers but his
voice is heard as this chamber echos it slightly,
“should we back away into a tunnel in case something bad happens?”
The King shrugs, “worst can happen is
a cave in or the portals are destroyed or the
crystals shatter and can't use it. So doubt we
have much area to flee too. Not like magic will be zapped again twice?”
The King grins having heard the story
of the throne room bad spell as they traveled here.
Kiet steps aside with hands
raised. "Don’t include me. I am protected already."
Upus ask, “ Will any of my people age
more then me when I get back home, will I age
when we return. I hate it here I’m ready to go
back to the home world. Not that my homeland
would want or need me but man my past is better
then staying here in this strange land.”
King turns to the red man, glancing
at Raddok to help words he may not use wisely, “I
honestly don't know. I don't know if you
are....excuse me...human?” HE glances at the
Avatar. “Guardian. Will these two-”, he points
to the Diumagi, “be affected worse.”
The Avatar stares in front of himself, “insufficient information.”
King shrugs, “do you wish to return with the others or with us?”
Dorhak hears the talk of returns and
time. The time issues are irrelevant, as he is
at home in the Lower World, or at least it’s not
alien to him, but the people are important.
Hearing that Barbosa wishes to stay
saddens him. But it is his right. "Barbosa! You
are a fine companion for this crew, and a brave,
dutiful dwarf. I salute you, and commend
you. To other dwarves, I shall praise your name
in their company so they might know of your courage and valor."
Barbosa clasps Dorhak's hands, “thank
you. If you are around those of m people in Ba'ru
share those stories! Maybe I will return home
and the will accept me. But that may be a long time away.”
To the Bes King, Dorhak says."Your
possession of the Book we left with you will have
to stay with you. I urge you, and beg of you, to
care for it, keeping the world safe from what it
contains. I don’t think I can follow you back to
your kingdom...so I ask you...Will you swear to
keep that tome from ever being used or seeing the light of day?"
King Strata stands tall, “I do not
know of the full details of this book. Aside from
what you shared in confidence. But if this is as
powerful as you say I swear it will be kept in a dark and safe place.”
When Z'leyra speaks up about
protecting the humans of their company, Raddok
moves closer to her and says, “Thank you, Z'leyra
– I am willing to try what you want to do. We pretty much all want to go home.”
He then goes over to say to Barbosa,
“It has been an honor to have you with us,
Barbosa. All my best wishes for you. May you find
happiness here with the Bes .They are good people.”
Barbosa nods, “You'd be welcome in our mines.”
Raddok then gives a brief bow & moves
back to the party. His weapons are drawn, just in
case there's trouble at the other end of this
very strange journey they are to attempt. Home
was looking very good, indeed. He silently sent
up prayers to all the gods he could think of that might help them all.
Z'leyra pauses. "Ugh...hmmm. Arawn,
Fremea. Before I cast anything, can you tell if
their are any magics present that will disturb or prevent my casting spells?"
Arawn nods but is quiet. Fremea nods
and detects a massive purified ground all
around. So that could interfere slightly But if
there are other defensive spells she can't detect any if they are shielded.
The Avatar turns to the table where
Unali put the loot of gear on. She is just about
to pack them back into Arawn's bag. “Powerful
magic detected.” The Inkwell like object glows
briefly. “Possible enemy infection or influenced.”
Unali grabs the object and stuffs it
in Arawn's bag. She figures it may be best to
leave before the Avatar takes action against the device?
The Bes Guard shrugs on hearing the
translation. “All this worry about age is good
but time will be far ahead on return. Whether
you age a week or a month isn't as important as
the time lost by others left behind.”
GM: Actions? Comments?
Next Update....Wednesday???
GM: Looks like Raddok will wish to be
helped not heard form Pyan on the risk. I will
assume Dorhak orders party to leave before the
spells? So they can be safe and home in case
things go badly? Then Z/Raddok can be last if
portal remains. So will assume this unless
stated otherwise. I've not looked at the spells
to see how long it will take but probably 15-30
seconds so the portal should remain open – should
before shifting to new locations. Was gonna do
this update Tue/Wed but figured got posts will do
now. Will do the spells tue/wed and hopefully
move to next scene home. Actually maybe
not. Will have to do spell results so Z can
prepare BEFORE I can go to next scene. So
that'll delay the final scene a update or
two. Would've done it tonight but getting late.
