New Enhanceable Natural Magic Items

Ivory

Unenhanced ivory has no magical value. Enhanced, it will grant the following benefits:

  1. As a talisman, the wearer subtracts FIVE from all poison resistance rolls.
  2. When drinking from an enhanced Ivory cup any poison BL is reduced by by 5.

Salt Water Pearl

Unenhanced salt water pearl has no magical value. The enhanced item will give the following benefits to the wearer:

  1. Per TEN days that pass, the wearer will age one day.
  2. In combat, any attacker must add FIVE to his combat roll.
  3. The wearer's MDV is doubled against Sea Powers, and Desiccation.

Deep Blue Spinel

Unenhanced spinel has no magical value. When enhanced, a Deep Blue Spinel grants the following benefits:

  1. Increase MDV against diseases by TEN.
  2. Automatically detect the presence of hostile, kotothi-aligned forces 1d6 turns before they can attack.
  3. The wearer is totally immune to Fascination, Abandon and other attention-affecting spells. The wearer does not lose focus on his current target.

Zircon

Unenhanced Zircon has no value. When enhanced and worn the wearer has the following benefits:

  1. The MDV is increased by FIVE against Chaos magic.
  2. Increase Stamina by TWENTY.
  3. The wearer adds FIVE to any missile attack rolls against them.

Hematite

Unenhanced Hematite has no value. When enhanced and worn the wearer has the following benefits:

  1. The MDV is increased by FIVE against Fascination or other will-affecting spells.
  2. When worn, the user's DTV is DOUBLED.
  3. The wearer of a Hematite has DOUBLE their normal Healing Ability (double any HP healed).

Tiger's Eye

Unenhanced Tiger's Eye has no value. When enhanced and worn the wearer has the following benefits:

  1. The wearer's MDV is increased by FIVE against any emotion affecting spells.
  2. In any cases where the wearer must make a Will roll, subtract TEN from their roll.
  3. The wearer has EL 5 immunity to the Pain spell.

Rock Quartz

Unenhanced Rock Quartz has no value. When enhanced and worn the wearer has the following benefits:

  1. If boiled in water, the resulting fluid will negate any poison up to BL5.
  2. If so desired, in any case where a child is desired, any sexual encounter will always produce a male child.
  3. If a simple ritual is performed, the next day will be overcast and constantly rainiy...in tundra climes this will result in snow. In Desert climates there is no effect.

Rutilated Quartz

Unenhanced, the gem has no magical value. When the enhanced stone is worn, it grants the following benefits:

  1. The wearer does not age while the sun is highest (10am to 2pm), so he effectively ages at 5/6ths the normal rate. This benefit is lost while the wearer is in a sunless land (Upper or Lower Worlds).
  2. The wearer’s Influence Chance is increased by TEN in any non-commercial negotiations.
  3. When the stone is first worn, choose THREE skills whose maximum EL formula uses the wearer’s best maximum attribute. When using these skills, the wearer is effectively TWO EL's higher. The stone retains the user’s imprint and cannot be changed once atuned.
